Falk died at his Beverly Hills home on June 23, 2011. According to his daughter, Catherine Falk, the actor had been suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

The Lone Star JediI really, really hated to hear this news. It was expected, but still devastating.
I am probably the biggest Peter Falk fan on these boards.
I LOVE Columbo, so much so that he was my avatar before the Lego me. I have every season available on DVD of Columbo. I even have a 12" pose-able figure of him I made with the help of a sculpture from Mexico.
