A Movie Star in the truest sense of the phrase.  She was also a very beautiful young woman.

She kept death waiting for a fair while, defying his call on so many occasions.

While he was waiting she donated so much of he time and money to keeping him waiting for others too.

You can't rush a lady.

If there is an eternal realm you can just imagine what sort of entrance she would make and the reunion party with all her pals would be worth the price admission.

Forget her pals, think of all of her husbands!

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

So is the guy who wrote the New York Times obituary of E.T. except he died 6 years ago.

E.T. should have died! His resurrection at the end of the film was the moment when the whole Lucas/Spielberg golden age died for me... From that moment on it was Ewoks, A Duck, Goonies, Explorers and... Oh it's just too painful to recall!

I disagree with your opinion. Spielberg made some really great films afterwords.

Can't say the same for Lucas...

I didn't have a problem with E.T's coming back to life and ascending into heaven but the whole business with Greg, Steve and Tyler writing all that crap about women, the marginalisation of Gertie and making out that Mary was still a Virgin *sigh*, Keys Letters To The Lesbians and the wars and the bloodshed done in E.T's name and the conflicts with the followers of MAC...if he came back today (taps table) he would not be happy.

I'm just going to remain quiet and pretend that made sense.
