I'm going to miss my new avatar.

Without BadAssLucasJanBuster around, its just not as fun...

I'm sure he'll be back.  Fool us once, shame on him.  Fool us eight times...

You'll have to explain it to me.  I'm sure it's an inside joke based on a particular ST episode I didn't see... but so far it's just hurting my feelings.  :(
"Charlie X", its about a teenager with superpowers who has never seen a woman and spends the whole episode trying to get one. When they make him mad, he does things to them. One of them loses her FACE.

Ah.  I see, Sir Luke.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

That's actually you? What is it with all of the badasses around here!?

Lucas has worn us down with his lies and selfishness.  ;-)

^ One of my favorites, it's dark and cruel in a way very rarely approached by post OS Star Trek (and before you all start throwing Spock's Brain at me remember the TNG one which could have been called Worf's Spine? They did a similar episode with some part of Neelix's anatomy too).

So, ... how long are we supposed to leave our avatars like this?
I think I'm switching back next week.

But this is fun while this lasts.
A week sounds good.

Longer, I reckon, since it took me a while to find a picture of me looking suitably old and grumpy.

Then we should vote on the next avatar "theme".

Moth3r has spoken! I love the idea of doing themes. And you participated, super cool.

Rather than saying something glib, like I already have my face on my avatar, I'll just say that if anyone really wanted to find my actual face, it would be extremely easy just by following a few links. I've done a lousy job of hiding.

And here I was thinking this was a permanent change to board culture... a step towards a more open and personable site.  :(

I am keeping mine, at least until I get bored with it. Don't know about doing any themes though.

Might have to take a new picture when I don't have a big zit on my forehead.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

All goofing aside, I really expected someone my age.  Funny how that is.  You read people for years and a sort of mental picture forms, based on nothing really.

I don't know if I'm less scared of him now that I think he's closer to my age, or more scared. He's certainly less scary than whatever old leprous guy he had a while ago.
