Yes, it was Laserman who came up with the GOUT acronym. I certainly support having some form of memorial in recognition of his contributions to this site.

I do have a real name for him, but it's pretty common. After some searching I believe I've found the website for his brother, who has also worked in visual effects.

Trying to think of suitable words to make contact, without sounding like a stalker...

I'm fine with my pic being put up....as I'm sure anyone is who put it up.

Throw my ugly mug up as well.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I'm not sure it needs to be said, but I'm game for having my face on the Wall of Shame.

All right then.

I don't usually post in Off Topic, the picture is a couple years old, it's in my profile anyway, and I don't hawk it that often lately.  But I do like being able to recognize people at events.  So here's me.

My sources say ye.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish memes.

Just call me Neckless: The Terrible!

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Sure thing, necklace.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

I was actually only watching Bender's Big Score earlier. Definitely the only decent movie IMO.

I seriously hope I will live enough to see the original Star Wars trilogy in this quality
You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.
