Prototype Mono Pre-ANH "XP77:4EB" Edit
I made this but am not sure whether to release it in its current state or not (I want to get a better video source and a couple other audio sources).
It's the video from the Mysterious Mysteries edit (with only the Pre-ANH crawl), and the 1.0 mix fleshed out to completeness.

I'll take that! The Mysterious Mysteries video looks amazing on my TV, but not on the living room one...but it's so much better than the Dr. Gonzo set that I threw it out.

Yeah, I'm interested, the MM transfer looks great imo.

Sounds good. Now all we need is a version with the original mono *and* stereo mixes...

That's what I'm hoping for with the final XP77 too.
BTW, anyone know of a DVD authoring program that's not a bitch to use, makes good menus, and doesn't strip off my subtitles? I could really use such a program for XP77 and other projects.

Adobe Encore DVD is pretty user-friendly. You might want to give it a try.

I suggest DVDLab. Easy to use, and very powerful.
MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They're certainly beyond any repair you're capable of making.

Go-Mer-Tonic: I can't say I find that very disappointing.

Adobe products and my ancient box don't seem to like each other very much. How heavy is DVD Lab (RAM-wise) ?

I'm not sure how RAM-heavy DVD-lab is, but the program itself is pretty small and I'll testify to it's nature of being awesome.
Also, hells yeah I wanna copy of this disc.

Seems to run pretty well.
I'm going to reauthor the disc (but still with tmpg - just patched up the menu a little bit), and release it to torrent in the next few hours, I think.

Awesome! Can't wait.
But what options does this disc have? I thought you said it only had the mono soundtrack and one version of the crawl, so what good would a menu do other than "play" and "chapters"? I'd say, if that's all you'd have, go without a menu, a la TR47's set.

Wait, I'm confused about somethin' - Molly, you said that your version has no subs, but werent the subs burned-in to the MM edition, or did I miss something there?
EDIT
Ah, nevermind, theyre not - they didn't look generated though, makes you wonder why studios do those really awful shitty looking generated subs when one person can do that much better on their home PC.

Prototype Mono Pre-ANH "XP77:4EB" Edit
Nope. the MM edition doesn't use the original burned-in sub-titles. It uses the DVD sub-picture to store the subtitles (what GL used on the official DVD's) instead.
