It was kind of sad to watch all the excitement and build up in this thread, then to see it all deflate with that last trailer.
Dude, you get pumped for Twilight..
I'm concerned that the whole thing could fall flat but I'm still interested in going to see it and expecting to be entertained for 2 hours.
people seem concerned that it's too much of an alien prequel - I'm thinking it might not enough of one, but then I don't consider Alien to be sacred ground.
as Bingo stated, we may still never see the proper origins of the 'space jockey' - just a set of events that fit into an earlier timeframe to Alien.
anyone else notice that the creature - that might be holloway is wearing a suit that looks a LOT like the skin of the xenomorphs? - and also the early shot in the proper trailer where something seems to be blacking out the sky - something that looks like niether of the spaceships we've seen..
Anchorhead said:look at Johnny Ringo, man. If I had to go against that guy it would be an Indiana Jones\Dovchenko event - and I'd be hoping like hell for a bunch of ants.

Everything is a psyop!Secrets of Prometheus Film Leaked
From The Alex Jones Channel

No, we're not going to give away any SPOILERS here; instead we will reveal the agenda behind Prometheus, the new film by legendary director Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) hitting theaters June 8.
The secret is that the elite believe they are attaining godhood and are destined for the stars. Their ancient and occultic views are reflected in the dark themes of Prometheus, the very name of which hints at the quest for eternity and power among a group who think a divine right bestowed by a higher intelligence gives creedence to their meddling with the affairs of common man.

Magister Pontifex MaximusJullian Lestrange 8 can exclusively reveal :
Hi fellow snoopers, I've just been switched onto this film by my many drones and I can tell you this film is going right to the duodenum of the matter. It features a marsupial tree called the Wongawonga Shrub which wanders around Planet P looking for the right piece of top soil to plant the baby in it's pouch. My spies tell me the pesky twig gets planted in the ships crab *gasp* but... get this... the crab is actually a goddam robot.
Sir Wrigley Gum has made a six ball and a four ball version, the studio are going to release the two ball version.
See yer, I'm off to plug myself into my Dyson (he's AC/DC) LULZ!

Just a simple manScript review/thoughts from Harry at AICN. Mild spoilers but nothing you can't really discern from the trailers. In short, Harry loves it and can't wait.

Reading between the lines Harry (and possibly Alex) have been reading this fake 'leaked' script (spoilers if you don't want to find out what happens in the fake film).
Aintitcool also published (as did loads of websites and rubbish newspapers) an IMDB fan fiction speculation as the actual synopsis for the film so read into that what you will.

Yep. And he's built by a six-year-old Ellen Ripley.
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Just a simple manHaha Harry is getting pwned.
It was hard to tell from Harry's general comments whether his source was authentic or not. But if Lindelof says it's 100% not true, you just have to admit it and move on.
I can't believe this is out in 2 months. I really hope this movie delivers. After it comes out it'll be a long 6-7 weeks until The Dark Knight Rises.

Oh, so that's the plot. Pretty much what I thought, actually.
Not sure it explains the origins of the Xenomorphs, but maybe.

Hand Of JudgmentI'm no longer interested in this film. After seeing these extended trailers, for me it's too slick and too 2012 with regard to cinematography and pacing.
As a prequel, it also has the same issue that bothered me with Phantom Menace. There is a huge technology step backwards for events taking place several decades later. That's a story killer for me. We're seeing Minority Report computers which, far into the future, will become the CRTs of the Nostromo. No thanks.
Plus, I'm just not getting a good vibe from seeing so much about the derelict ship. For me, the Space Jockey will forever remain a mystery, just as he has been for the past 34 years.
Banana me eat banana.

Magister Pontifex MaximusOh Anchorhead.
This is a top of the range science vessel/corporate ambassadorial ship designed for a potential first contact situation.
Nostromo is a truck and probably older than Prometheus.
Note how despite the crew spending most of their time in hypersleep, the upholstery on the flight deck is held together with gaffer tape.
Nostromo is really old and made for grease monkeys.
