perhaps the title makes no sense but let me explain further. On certain forum software, if a PM series goes on for more than one interaction, you can view previous actions above or below your beginning of the new reply. This would be easier than having to keep multiple tabs open to remember what you've already said or haven't said. Can it be done? Should I explain clearer?

EmperorIt's doable. PMs are grouped into threads much like posts, so the data is there. I haven't forgotten that it's a desired feature.
