This will probably not be news for most for you but I found it a really interesting read

The Luke/Leia siblings is the one negative I will always feel towards the OT. It would have been interesting if Lucas would have just let 'the other' plot point hanging there all these years and now we would actually meet Luke's long lost sister in the upcoming ST.

Hand Of JudgmentWay too deep for Lucas. He's not nearly that talented a writer. A really interesting idea, by the way.

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterIs there actual evidence that that really was the "original vision"?

I’ve never heard some of this information before. Does anyone know the author’s source?
What can you get a Wookiee for Life Day Christmas when he already owns a comb?

I remember reading something similar from Gary Kurtz's notes from the early 80's about the 9 part outline he and Lucas mapped out.

Magister Pontifex Maximus^From a certain point of view perhaps (as in it's previously reported but unsubstantiated gossip).

StarkillerThis isn't the original concept. That comprised of a screenplay over 300 pages long (which is currently being adapted for The Star Wars comics). Instead, what we have here is a number of various ideas from various stages of development.

I don't think there were any "original plans". Lucas just came up with the storyline for each individual film. I mean there are some rumours that Lucas had some long term "plans" (like from Kurtz who I lately don't find a reliable source at all) but I think that is all bullshit.
Prequel Trilogy was supposed to be a story about a good man turning bad. In reality, it is a story about how a complete jerk (PT Anakin) turned into one of the best characters in film history (OT Vader)

Magister Pontifex MaximusI see no evidence to doubt Kurtz.
I imagine Lucas made and adjusted plans as he went along like most writers do.
Kurtz was likely to be exposed to some of those earlier plans some of which made sense (like Leia not being Luke's sister) others did not (like Ben and Yoda physically returning from the dead to aid Luke in his final battle against the Emperor).

At a convention, Kurtz told us that originally nine films were planned and the Emperor was not going to be seen properly until the final film. The second Death Star and the Emperor now appearing so soon did not seem to sit well with Kurtz.

Just another officer transported to MarsIt was a moving target. I recommend reading Zombie's The Secret History of Star Wars, which dives into the history of it all.
