It's a great. We'll hopefully have 4 new categories coming soon: Star Wars, Saturday Night Live, Talk Shows, and maybe Conan (since so many of our talk show torrents are Conan O'Brien related.

We have been working on this but other things have come up and it has sort of fallen to the back burner. Hopefully we can get this done soon.

HAHA, we were just talking about T-shirts. Icy is going to mail them out, it was just a matter of arguing where we buy them from and what is a good price.

As for Star Wars category, IcyFlamez brought up the idea of naming the category "Fanedits/Preservations." How does everyone feel about that?

well, seriously, it is your site, but I would still prefer a Star Wars category myself, I am used to using "other" I guess it is no biggie.

This is a very good idea.

There are some older Star Wars related torrents that are alive/seeded that probably aren't being seen just due to age.

Star Wars Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO is one. The Holiday Special is another.

RowMan's Ultimate Supplemental 4 Disc Set would be a boon to all the new members who never grabbed it off of alt.binaries.starwars. However, I believe only one of the discs is still being seeded. I'm just spitballing some examples.

If a file is good-sized (a few Gigs), it is a lot harder to get when there is a seeder or two and few (or even no) leechers. I'm sure more people would want such things if they knew that they were there. We're talking some very cool Star Wars fan-edit and fan preservation projects.

Better organization is the key.

It seems you guys are against giving us a Star Wars category, why is this and what is the problem? I mean, I could be wrong, but it really seems to me you guys are against the idea, which really kind of sux to be honest, I mean if you guys over there really want us to start bringing back the SW glory of the old days, don't you think it would be nice for us to have our own category?

The actual movies don't exist anymore :-(

a crazy active category or not, it still deserves one anyways, so whether or not how "active" it is should be irrelevant, whats the harm in it?

That's right. I want there to be a Star Wars category and another admin sees it differently. Unfortunately he's the guy writing the code so it's sort of an uphill battle. :) He's currently working on a tag system and wants to create a fanedit/preservation category and just make SW a tag. I am against this since 1) Fanedits and Preservations are not similar  enough to combine and 2) A Star Wars category itself would have just as many torrents would have just as many torrents as most of the other categories.

Another idea is to create tags and do away with categories all together, so there's a lot of ideas getting tossed around.

The other admin has agreed to create a testing stage for all ideas, see what works and then decide on what direction to go.

I'll keep you guys updated, but in the meantime feel free to add your opinions to the conversation. It will definitely help. Thanks

It's not on Myspleen now so it means it was either deleted by the uploader or deleted by the old system. We haven't deleted dead torrents in at least 3-4 years, but I'm not sure how Xavier had it set up way pack in 2005.
