Hi there,
I'm totally new to torrents... in fact, this would be my first download ever, but apparently I need a myspleen invite to do this... Please forgive my ignorance. I just really want to see ANH in it's purest form. I own the Fox DVD already.
Anything anyone can do to help, that would be great!

Hit n' Runs are a slap in the face on torrent sites. Torrent sites don't keep the actual files on a server, everything is shared by our members. So when you download something and then walk away, you are hurting our community.

I don't do torrents so I'm not 100% clear on the mechanics, but I find this really sad.

I am new to OT and am trying to find working torrents for some of the fan edits here. It looks like MySpleen is a good place to find them.
If you are still offering invites I would love one.
I use torrent frequently so I do seed my torrents and I would also be using MySpleen for other torrents, not just OT stuff (I read your comment about OT users doing hit and runs and not seeding).
I hope you can give me an opportunity to be part of the MySpleen community and thanks in advance.

I'm hoping for a MySpleen invite as well. I tried PMing walkingdork, but was told he had too many PMs, so it wouldn't send. Anyway, I've been torrenting for a while and try to maintain a high share ratio, at least 1:1. If anyone has an invite available, I would greatly appreciate one.

In the Questions/Comments section there is a thread titled "Recovering Your Account on the Tracker" which should help.
For those requesting invites, there is also a section on the Spleen Forums for invite requests. You're more likely to get a response over there than in here.

Sorry I have been gone so long. I've been working hard at my new job and has eaten into my freetime (and my smoke time). I've also just been more social in my personal life.
I feel pretty crappy that I let my inbox get full and haven't replied to the countless invite requests. I'm going to turn on open registrations for 2 weeks while I try to catch up on mail.

I think Frink is just frustrated by his inability to ignore the MySpleen threads. He wants all the blow-ins that never post again to get off his lawn, since most of them don't even need a Spleen invite to find what they are looking for.
