is automatic for the people.So my PS3 tells me I need an upgrade to play a RedBox BluRay. Is there any way I can do this without connecting it to the net? Is it possible to download the upgrade on a PC, burn it on a disc and do the upgrade off of the disc?

Ointment FlyProbably, I know you can do this with standalone blu-rays. You can also try with a USB drive.
