Maybe you should replace the howl with PT music.

I hope for everything CG ;)

Haha very funny. As anti-cg a lot of the OT posters are, I believe that it has only just recently gotten to a point where it can be seamlessly placed into a live action film - which does still leave some hope for the PT as they can now replace all of the TERRIBLE CG renders they used: Jar-Jar (let's be realistic - they won't delete him, the best they can do is not make him look like metallic plasticine), they could replace the Yoda renders with a more realistic one, and one that looks like the Yoda from ESB and ROTJ. I still have some small amount of hope that they'll get things right... if not in this release than dammit in the next release!!! Come on Lucasfilms, do SOMETHING right!

If they are going to change the audio so radical i suggest to make a seamless vader voice to all episodes :)

The Prequels got a fuck load of things wrong, but the PT music is simply amazing.

Seriously, I'm beginning to think some people on these forums are just hating all aspects of the PT simply because they're in some way related to the PT...

*sigh* No, I don't dislike the PT soundtracks. In fact, I consider the soundtracks of Ep. 1-3 to be a good deal superior to that of ep. 6. My comment was simply a sarcastic response to fishmanlee's:

i really think there should be NO howl

It was intended to be an amusing dig, given the fish's history of "rescoring."

changing music in a scene is one thing taking out a sound effect, thats something else

I honestly think the PT Yoda model looks like a younger, more plump Yoda:

He has the same bone structure and just looks like he lost a lot of weight during the exile.

I know it's off topic, but it's kind of on.

I have a shitload of scary sound effect mp3's on my computer that sound better then this piece of vomit.

God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

The sound mix was doomed from the beginning considering it is the same guy who did the 2004 mix.

The Blu Ray is doomed because it will be the bad 2004 versions with no fixes, changing the audio even further and making it worse does not equal a fix.

The Blu Ray probably will kill the bootleg HD market of the HDTV broadcasts and will be better with less compression. But it will still be from a master limited to 1080p, with messed up colors and DVNR.

If it is true the master files created in 2004 were thrown together in a quick turnaround with no quality control, i think the 2004 DVD was thrown together in 30 days or something.  Quite unlike Fox spending 20 million for a meticulous restoration, not done in the digital realm but photochemically, in 1997.

Lucash already had the work done but mucked it up.

Now that I see it again, the Episode I puppet really isn't so bad - especially when put side-to-side with that ESB shot. Everything's right but his eyes... oh, and the hair seems out of place. Ain't it funny how that works out?

Has Lucas heard of the Redead from Zelda? THERE'S a sound that'll make you shit yourself (or maybe it's that they suddenly lunge at and rape you - I can't remember which).

That would be really out of place, though it IS quite creepy

There! for those who mentioned that yoda is only angry in PT. This is might the only photo from the Muppet gimmick that might give a reason for the ILMers to prove their efforts.

How about Obi Wan using a Yoda howl?

Oh?  Does Yoda howl during his iconic break dancing scene?  That definitely needs to be incorporated into the movies somehow.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming... Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

My Eyes are burning.

The topic title is indeed "Now it's just getting ridiculous- Yoda's new CGI look."

Why this was gone offtopic about obiwan and about a weird howl?

And the jaw-line, chin, cheekbones, the height of the brow but other than that...

Remember George saw this as another example of vocal fans just being picky.

He gave us this 'improved' Yoda puppet and we didn't like it...stupid fans.

He had to cave in and turn Yoda into a CGI puppet because of the complaints...or was it because Yoda had to jump all across the screen shoving laser swords into clone troopers and Sith Lords because the story 'demanded' it ???
