Request: Miami Vice film?

Is there any interest in a Miami Vice re-edit? I thought the film was pretty good, or at least had some good stuff in it, but it was too long winded for its own good. I think if it could be cut down to a length under 2 hrs. it could be a nice, tight little cops and robbers movie. What do you guys think?

I'm always looking to trade my edits, if you don't want to get them from a torrent. PM or e-mail!

I think this is an interesting idea. It might be possible to remove some or most of the romance between Crockett and the woman (can't remember the actress' name or the character), and create an Action cut, much like Yoshimi did with Heat.

What's up with the director's cut DVD? (I imagine this is more a ploy to sell discs-- I mean, was Mann really not allowed to make his "vision"?)
