Lucas all the way, judging by their respective physiques.

You can't hint in a survey unless you're an NBC poll! I call shenanigans!

Blue as in bluescreen?  If that's what you're hinting at, then I'll go with Lucas.  Spielberg uses bluescreens, Lucas surrounds everything with bluescreens.

My outlook on life - we're all on the Hindenburg anyway...no point fighting over the window seat.

Well we know that lucas likes the colour blue. So he would be in your kitchen. Spielberg would want chilled monkey brains.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Ditto.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!

Hmmm...I think I'm starting to lose interest in this like everyone else.  If I declare this a tie, and declare the competition over, I guess Spielberg wins 2 to 1.  Anyone have any ideas for Round 5?  I'm stuck.

Who's better with their fans?

The franchises I get nerdy about are so obscure that not even most nerds know about them.

I know Lucas hate is the order of the day, but when it comes to letting his fans more or less do anything they want (notably fanedits, fan films, costume organizations, radio drama) Lucas is pretty chill.

Not yet, we have to wait for TV's Frink to read this and create the new thread.  (<joke)

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

I might stick around.  If you want to know more about me, just visit the Indylounge forum.  My username's the same there. ;)

Man, I'm going to have to start a new thread just for my introduction!
