Watched Angel season 5 recently.  Absolutely love this.

Now in the middle of Buffy season 2.  Even though there are great episodes later that exceed it, overall this is probably my favourite year for the show--the whole thing just flows really well and naturally develops in a consistently enjoyable way.  I say this even though I don't really 'ship' Buffy with Angel, mainly because he is such an evil bastard at heart, held back only by the soul forced on him; as opposed to Spike who much later earns his by learning to do right, even while still soulless.  The distinction between the two vampires is very interesting to say the least.

Being Human (the UK version) has started up again, Russell Tovey's screams still make my teeth hurt but a strong series opener. I still miss the original Mitchell.

Nice to see Paul Kaye on the box again (along with Julian Bleach) he would make a good alternative Joker if the character was to make another film appearance.

Surely you jest?

I've started getting into Farscape I never really got into it and don't really know much of the plot. It's a bit cheesy but so far it's been fun. A mate lent me his entire collection so I'm just going through it at a relaxed pace.

Sigh.  Just finished DS9 yesterday.  Post-partum depression is setting in.  It's over.  My surrogate space family has disbanded.  What is one to do?

Finished BSG (again) the other night. Still haven't watched "The Plan" TV movie, so I've got a couple hours left with the fleet.

Bah!  Replace The Sisko and his legendary crew who saved the entire Alpha quadrant from the Dominion with a bunch of ragtag misfits who couldn't even keep from getting lost?  I just don't know if I could handle that.

I wouldn't watch it.  A lot of people really hated the finale and thought it was "offensive" in some way (quoting my Science Fiction Studies prof here), but I thought "The Plan" was substantially worse and more "offensive" than the series finale.

It's a bit of a downer but it's an interesting curio (like Razor if you fit it in chronologically after seeing the series for the first time it's more interesting than seeing it in isolation).

Cavil is a real git, really.

Well, the season 4 finale 'Restless' comes to mind, and 'Once More With Feeling' from season 6, but generally the best of later years tend to be individual episodes, while season 2 was the most consistently well written and watchable as a whole.

@ Gaffer Tape: Hey, I know what you mean about DS9.  Not only is the story itself bittersweet, it's very upsetting to come to the end of such a great show and not have any more to look forward to.  I had the same reaction when it was originally on and again when I watched the later seasons a few years ago.  Sometime I want to start from the beginning and see every single one, as you did.

I read some of the followup books, but with half the characters gone it's just not the same.

Agreed, with Season 3 as a close second (though season 6 is my second-favorite season, I acknowledge that it's definitely not the second-best).

And outside of "Restless" and OMWF, you've also got "The Body," "Conversations with Dead People," "The Zeppo," "Hush," "Fool for Love," "Tabula Rasa," and a few others that are definitely better individually than any one episode in Season 2.

You will not. None of us will, except for a very old and dying Ziggy Stardust who will watch it through teary eyes as he remembers us all.

Skins - season 5 episode 1.

Season 4 just got depressing [i'm talking 'virgin suicides' levels of depressing.] but it's good to see that with a fresh start it's back to being fun.

Also had a look at the US version of the show out of curiosity - it was complete rubbish, I hope it gets cancelled soon. What they should have done is a US spin off but it's a complete reboot with the same basic characters - except the gay guy is now a hot cheerleader. it's just painful [like dental surgery during a kenny G concert.]

Watched it. Completely unnecessary. Didn't give any new information, just showed us, "yep, remember when you assumed this happened? It did. And you don't need new footage, here's the first two seasons condensed. And a lot of boobs. And a penis. You need to see naked humans to truly understand Cylons."

The effects were great on the attack on the Colonies, but that's about all that I liked about it.

As I said, a curio.

The plan was, to wipe out the human race so that Cavil could give the bird to his parents (I kind of got that before seeing the film).

I dug that show. Except that I hate reality show editing. And that overly dramatic music.

We borrowed "The Pacific" from the library and have been rushing through it.  Not as good as "Band of Brothers" methinks.

I saw some of marble hornets but keep straying, maybe there should be a marble hornets thread [if there isn't already on].

Terriers.

Making my way through a "cancelled shows made by Tim Minear" marathon.

Watched Dollhouse, watching Terriers, next up is Drive, then maybe a re-watch of Firefly.
