Yes you can find them on the internet. But not if you are expecting to find them streaming on the BBC website, or on Hulu or Netflix watch instantly.
Short of ordering the DVDs from your online retailer of choice, I don't think there is a way to legitimately get them from the interwebs.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityI just read how Life on Mars (US) ended on io9's 10 Big Reveals That Made Stories Even More Confusing (SPOILERS FOR STUFF). Is that actually what happened? I would have been so pissed off.

Ointment FlyI've never seen the show but I read about the ending as well. And to be fair, didn't they shoehorn that ending in when they were canceled?

OT's bucketbotI'd definitely add the shows John Doe and Nowhere Man to that list; two of my favorites that were cancelled without the benefit of being able to wrap up the story. The final episodes introduced more [huge] questions than answers.

Yeah, that was the ending. They were on a space mission to mars and while in cryosleep the crew's minds were fed a virtual world of their choice. The main character choose to be a cop in the 2006 (or whenever the show was on) and thanks to some computer bug things glitched out and it change the date to the 1970s mid program. Not only that, but the cops he works with in his glitched out cop fantasy are the other crew members of his space shuttle, the police chief he is constantly at odds with throughout the show turns out to be his dad and the antagonistic relationship they always shared was a result of daddy issues.
It kind of ended like the Wizard of Oz (it was just a dream, and you were there, and you were there, and you were there...), only the Wizard of Oz was cool and featured midgets and flying monkeys.
Not sure who thought the technological twist on the "it was all just a bad dream" cop out would be a good idea for an ending, but I do believe I heard that they had to rush to tie it up because it got cancelled.

If the show turns out to be about one of Luke's Jedi Academy's Jedi Knights being in an accident and waking up many years prior to the events of The Phantom Menace and while trying to figure out what happened to him also has to learn to cope with his new primitive environment, an asshole Jedi Council, a green pointy eared muppet who has no logical sentence syntax for a boss, ridiculous statements like only Siths dealing in absolutes (which he would try in vain to explain was an absolute itself), and rules that make no sense like there only ever being able to be 2 Sith at once, or that green and blue (and on rare occasions purple or yellow) mean good and red always means bad; then I would TOTALLY watch this show!
Basically a pre 1999 EU era character cast into the craziness that has become the post 2010 PT era. Aw man, it would be brilliant! If anyone wants to animate or direct, I'll get right to work on the script.

Troublemaker Without ScruplesSo for years I've been languishing under the opinion that cartoons today sucked. I grew up in the golden age of Nickelodeon, with shows like Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Angry Beavers, etc. Whenever I turn on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon these days all I see is bullshit.
But then, I discovered Adventure Time.
This is the funniest damn cartoon I've seen in YEARS. It might just be my new favorite show.

It's funny, I tend to agree with your about growing up during the golden age of cartoons, but I would have listed:
He-Man
Mask
Voltron
Thundercats
DuckTales
Batman TAS
X-Men TAS
Spider-Man TAS
etc...
But when I think of the crap cartoons that were coming out as I was getting out of cartoons, I think of Rugrats, and generally some of the other of that generation.
Funny how those things work, right?
And I know some other users here will think that my list of the "golden age"skews too young. Just the way that cookie tends to crumble.

of Earth.Back in the 90s, my mom and I used to catch this cop show called "The Commish". Michael Chiklis before he was all hard. I couldn't remember what made the show so charming to us, but I do recall being charmed.
I was at target and they had Seasons 1&2 for $14.99, so I snagged them for my mom for Christmas. My dad sort of refuses to watch anything in SD any more (and the PQ on these DVDs is rubbish), but they turned these on after the new year and ended up having to buy the rest of the seasons.
So the Mrs. and I have been watching some of them casually too. It really was a great show. Pretty lighthearted family stuff mixed with some of the most depressing examples of human behaviour... it is an odd mix. But it works.
It was made in the early 90s, but the cars make me think it was made in the early 80s. I guess my memory of cars in the 90s is broken.

Nope. I cannot fulfill your request without a proper ball rating. Unless one is provided, I am going to have to watch it.
Monolithium, your Kate avatar makes me very, very, very happy, by the way. When I went to see X-Men: First Class I was subjected to the trailer for the very atrocious looking Real Steel featuring Evangeline Lilly, which reminded me how very awesome she is. I am super excited she is suppose to be in the new Hobbit flick.

Stringer in Space! In regards to The Killing...
0 Balls out of 10.
Without spoiling it for those who like to torture themselves*, if the show had been called "Red Herrings", it would have received a perfect 10 Balls out of 10.

Is your 0/10 ball rating based on the finale? Or just the show in general?

The show in general. I had hoped that the finale would have made it all worthwhile. It didn't. I won't say that the show doesn't have promise, in fact, all it has is promise.
It aspires to be original and non-formulaic. But it ended up being no different than a typical CBS Cop Show Procedural. Except one that is drawn out for 13 increasingly unbelievable episodes.
