The last show I watched on T.V. or the Internet was on May 24, 2010.

It was the "LOST" series finale.

So not even watched a let's play, review, or something of that nature? Interesting.

I have just watched the latest Misfits episode. I'm torn about how I feel about this episode.

I also watched some controltv webisodes.

Just finished the first season of Fringe.

Definitely got a lot better in the second half.  Love the alternate universe thing, and frickin' Leonard Nimoy?!?!  Hell yeah!

Very excited to start season two.  Though I'm disappointed that Fox apparently stopped doing the limited-commercials thing for the second season, which means every season-2 episode is be about ten minutes shorter than season-1 episodes.  I really thought the extra length helped season 1 a lot, too.

Dexter season 5 finale.

The season was slowly growing into a trinity killer (season 4) beater-the best season so far imho, then after seeing the last episode 'the big one', it made me feel exactly like i felt after watching Avatar. Nuff said.

Season 6 on the way in the spring so i've eard

Sorry, DS - I had to put you on "Ignore" because I'm about 6 or 7 episodes behind on Dexter, and I don't want to spoil it for myself.

It's only temporary, I promise.

Misfits. The only problem is that when spoilers started dropping like spoilers you had to assume that spoiler would rewind spoiler so that everything would be all spoiler in the end.

Still enjoying the show, though - bring on the xmas special!!

Ive still got Misfits to watch, and from what ive heard here it should be good, even if it does contain spoilers, and spoilers, and somethin about spoilers within spoilers???

The Walking Dead seems to have drifted into character development at the end of season 1 instead of CARNIGE with the prospect of a 13 episode season 2.

And Family Guy season 9 has the worst episode ever made, and i wont go there with the Family Guy Star Wars 'Its a Trap'

Dont worry Pancakes no more spoilers on Dex. I may have loved Avatar maybes.....

Alright, DS, I finished Dexter, so you're off my ignore list.

And about season 5, spoilers below:

I pretty much agree with you.  The last episode was great until they copped out on Lumen.  I was looking forward to Dexter having a true partner next season.

Ah, well.  At least it wasn't as bland and tasteless as season 3.

And it turns out there weren't even any spoilers in your post - I just saw "Dexter" and didn't want to risk it.

Now i can do proper spoilers then.

Dexter found Rita dead in the bath at the end of season 4 which was a TOTAL unexpected finale shocker. Season 5 ended with a birthday friken party??? Meah??? I guess thats a sorta shocker "from a certain point of view", for the wrong reasons.

I agree, I loved the idea of Dex having a prodigy in Lumen, then WTF happened then! It was also a big cop out when Deb was about to find out Dex and Lumen were the vigilantie killers. Yeah i know she sypathised with victim no.13, but to not even look at who took out Jordan Chase sorta niggles me.

During pre production i heard Peter 'Robocop' Weller was in the series (played it well), but i also heard Julie Benz (Rita) was supposed to feature in three of the episodes. Just goes to show you cant believe everythin that you read on the interweb.

Still, damn compulsive viewing though.

Finally got to see TWD finale this weekend, and read the first 6 volumes of the comic the weekend before. Very interesting stuff altogether. The show develops the characters more than the comics, definitely, but the comics have a lot more dread as they move from place to place, something I hope the TV series does as it progresses.

Overall, this CDC sidetrip was pointless, I'm glad they're going to move on. Most of the drama from the comic comes from other survivors they encounter, so its nice to see an unfamiliar face. In fact, the whole point of the comic seems to be that "man is the real monster".

While almost everything is different from the comics, I'm pretty sure reading them did spoil what Dr Jenner whispered in Rick's ear as they were leaving CDC...

Well, that was fast - I already finished season 2 of Fringe.  Absolutely fantastic show - I really hope Fox doesn't kill it in its new Friday night slot.

I've been watching Star Trek:  Deep Space Nine for the first time.  In fact, one could say I'm marathoning the entire series.  I've been doing it for a few weeks, and I'm almost done with season four.  Needless to say, I'm loving it.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming... Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I love Deep Space Nine--it may actually be my favourite Star Trek series.  It's really the one that dared to be different, with great results.

Just wait till about halfway through season 5; the show really goes epic in an awesome way . . .

Saw the Christmas special of Doctor Who.

What an incredible episode!  So much better than the majority of series five, because it had heart and depth and real character focus on top of the time travelling cleverness.  If that is an indication of what is to come next year, I'll be looking forward to it much more than I had been.  Michael Gambon's performance was amazing . . . really it was the first good Christmas special they've done, and a definite highpoint of the show as a whole.

Having Neil Gaimon do an episode for series six was an inspired choice: I'm definitely eager to see that one.

Been watching season 3 of Mission: Impossible.  Such an awesome show; very sixties, but in the best sense.  I've been familiar with it for a long time because it was my mother's favourite when she was a kid, and she had us watch them whenever they were re-run.  The Tom Cruise films are an abomination, utterly ruining everything that made the tv show great, so I shun those and refuse to watch them, but the show is one of the best things that's ever been broadcast.  It's pretty much a heist show with a lot of clever mind games--the focus is nearly always on fooling the enemy and outsmarting them through elaborate deceptions and subterfuge, and the intricate plans are completely dependent on teamwork to carry out properly.  (Sort of like the recent Ocean's Eleven on a weekly basis, but the characters as secret agents and not so much with the wisecracking.)  If you have a short attention span and little patience it won't be your favourite thing ever, but if you want something that will engage and thrill your higher functions it's really worth getting into.

I also just watched the Doctor Who Christmas special.  Far superior to any prior Christmas special for the series.  When I heard "CGI flying shark" a few months ago, I cringed hard, but I have to say it was incredibly well done.

Very excited for series 6 - more Ood, and apparently X Files-style "gray" aliens!

Just watched confusedmatthew's review of Avatar. I lol at the "Happy new year" part and, the "it's late" parts in the beggining. I had no clue that was posted exactly a year ago. I also had no clue they posted that late at night. Watching it at 0400 a year later randomly I just had to lol.

Just finished re-watching all five seasons of The Wire.

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Saw the Mission: Impossible episode called "The Mind of Stefan Miklos".  Very subtle and complex, all about making an enemy agent think they're trying to fool him, so he sees through the 'deception' and believes he has won, but really the whole thing was an even more massive smoke screen to get him to believe disinformation.  I was very impressed with it.

Randomly, my top five television theme songs:

1.  Mission: Impossible

2.  Angel

3.  Firefly

4.  The X-Files

5.  Doctor Who

PEDANT ALERT ! As far as I can tell only no 3 on that list is a song hen.

I've been recently enjoying my Christmas present of the complete Granada TV Sherlock Holmes DVD set with dear Jeremy Brett.

It has been weird as not only were my old VHS sets so worn down that they were practically monochrome but the episodes had been trimmed to fit on the tapes and the little restored scenes here and there add so much to the episodes.
