So, uh, I'm not sure if anyone cares, but we're putting out a DVD of the first season of Marble Hornets sometime this week. It'll include tons of bonus features, including lots of blooper footage of your ol' pal Nanner being a goofy fucker.
It's gonna be sold at marblehornetsdvd.com. I'll be sure to update whenever it goes live.
Loop me in.
I haven't watched all of it but Slender Man is a wonderfully creepy memotype and while I'm sure it's dangerous to even type his moniker it's nice to see people playing with fire.
It's on sale now! This first run is only 1000 copies, so i'm not sure if they're all gone by now. Here's the direct link either way: http://yhst-130167151324932.stores.yahoo.net/

I've not gotten to see them up close so I can't verify (our producer is in charge of the DVDs), but I'm 99% sure we are pressed. (Otherwise we could just burn-on-demand, I guess)

My name is Gaffer Tape, and I approve this message so much I could just burst.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming... Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

aka PancakesRewatching Series 5 of Doctor Who (and a couple earlier episodes) before Series 6 starts up in a couple weeks.
Watched Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead (from Series 4) last night, then the ending to The End of Time (for the regeneration scene); watched The Eleventh Hour earlier today, and I'm about to watch The Beast Below before I head to bed.
I'm way more excited for this series than I was for last series, I have to admit. I'm not sure where I stand on the split-season format, though - I guess it'll depend on the strength of the "game-changing" cliffhanger.

Magister Pontifex MaximusOriginally the show used to start in the Autumn, which I think is the ideal time for a show with scares in.
When the cold weather comes in people want to huddle inside, in the dark and be spooked as a family unit.
I gather the thinking behind the move to a Spring start was to maximise DVD sales (there are the individual discs sold quite close to the time of broadcast and the box sets and the soundtrack which gets a publicity boost from the Christmas special trails).
Hopefully the Autumn half will be a success and encourage the producers to revert back to a full Autumn series ending at Christmas (and perhaps swapping the Christmas special with an Easter Special).

Magister Pontifex MaximusMarginally better than the real thing (DS9 has one of, if not the worst opening themes of any science fiction show....unless anyone out there can dig up worse, though admittedly the Delaware arrangement of the Doctor Who theme is much more painful because it's a classic theme which is mangled to buggery).

Reginald ScumI've been watching old Doctor Who stories again, but not really going in any kind of order like I was a year ago. Tom Baker is my favourite, generally speaking, particularly when paired with Mary Tamm or Lalla Ward, but I've been branching out into the Patrick Troughton and Peter Davison years recently. Frankly, despite certain shortcomings, I'm enjoying these more than most of the newer series, because the writing displays a lot more imagination.

Not the best show ever, but I've actually gotten to where I am enjoying this more than Doctor Who. Reminds me of good ol' fun 90's sci-fi.

I heard a rumour from Ground Control.
Children Of Earth is really good though and possibly the best thing RTD has ever done.
Talking Marble Hornets, some of the spoofs are actually pretty scary.

Reginald ScumMan, don't even talk about Torchwood. It's one of the most vile, misguided, and just plain stupid shows I've ever had the misfortune of being subjected to. Bunch of pointless wangsty rubbish that means absolutely nothing, and completely wastes the potential that an interesting character like Jack Harkness seemed to promise when Doctor Who first introduced him. To hell with that garbage!

I feel that describes Series 1 and, to a lesser extent, Series 2 pretty well, but Children of Earth (Series 3) was absolutely brilliant. Basically, something like Children of Earth is what I expected Torchwood to be when I first sat down to watch it from the beginning. I'm pretty excited for Miracle Day (Series 4) right now, whereas I only watched Children of Earth out of a feeling of obligation since I'd already watched the first two series and it was only 5 episodes long.
I do agree that Captain Jack was pretty completely wasted within Doctor Who. He should have come back halfway through Series 2 and stuck around for a while, if you ask me.

Series or movie? The movie's ok, but the series is better. I really enjoyed it. Got the TV movie collection from Best Buy, too.
