Stringer in Space!Just started watching Babylon 5 for the first time.
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

I remember when that show was controversial.

Magister Pontifex MaximusI enjoyed watching the Comic Relief Doctor Who mini episodes Space and Time.
Short, funny and yet fully formed tiny episodes.
They are out there in the usual places and available to download from iTunes but if you choose to watch them without downloading please remember to support the good work done by the charity if you haven't already done so.

Not in the UK where red nose day happens every other year.
It could be one of the other countries that held similar events.

Having been waiting all day for the YouTube version to go up, seeing your post caused me to skip the middle man and go straight for the blip version. Nice to hear 99 Balloons again. Thanks!

Seasons 1,2,3 are definitley the best and has the most comedy, after season 3 episodes got more serious season after season. Although i love all seasons of M*A*S*H and would definitley consider my all time favourite T.V. show.

Magister Pontifex MaximusI once watched an episode of M*A*S*H with the laughter track and it sucked all the humour out of the show.
Since then I became painfully aware of laughter tracks especially canned laughter and while some shows survive it and even turn it to their advantage most of them would I believe work better without it.

Reginald ScumI despise laugh tracks.
Even Monty Python's Flying Circus, one of my favourite shows ever, could not escape the debilitating presence of the laugh track. The ending to the hilariously inappropriate 'Undertaker' sketch was pretty much ruined by the forced participation of the audience, to the point that you can't even hear what they're saying in some parts. Fortunately the same sketch on LP can be heard without interference.
The Pythons themselves often mocked laugh tracks by having announcers obviously switch them on and off, which is much funnier than hearing them anywhere else.

One of the greatest shows of all time, especially with only episodes. And the movie was great too.

Reginald ScumFirefly is definitely my favourite show ever. I like the movie a lot too (and am still amazed it actually got made at all) but I like the series more. The story just lends itself to tv format more easily, and Joss had to retcon a few things in the movie to make the exposition more succinct, which bugs me a little bit from a continuity perspective.
It took me a few episodes to get into the show, mostly because Mal seemed like such an arse early on, but it really grew on me, and nothing has come close to supplanting it in my regard.
