Ointment FlyHey, if Zig's mom is 50, and he's 13, that means she was 37 when she had him...
The ot.com 37 connection lives!

Dah! You outed my age!!! Now everyone will no if they are older or younger than me and make fun of me for still being a senior in high school!
;)
Hahaha! Out of my league... pfft! If I wasn't already responsible for the happiness and pleasure of more women than I can keep up with (mostly the highly demanding TV's Mom), then I'd totally give you my number so you could give it to her... Wow, it feels really wrong saying that to a 14 year old... :(

This.
ELO is one of my all time bands, but I can't help but feel like the film and commercial industry is turning them into another AC/DC. Seems like every movie or commercial has an ELO song in it, which is cool, but kind of a bummer at the same time. Mr. Blue Sky is one of their absolute best songs, but it gets played in every friggin movie or commercial.
Don't Bring Me Down is next in line. It's more offensive to me, because it's my absolute favorite of theirs.
Evil Woman used to be played like that, but people eventually eased off of it.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I totally agree.
Jack and Jill isn't worthy of that song in their trailer.

That is just weird to think about. I couldn't imagine my mother being into anything like that, but then I realized that your mother is likely only a few years older than me... which was even weirder to think about.
Umm, I need to go now, I have some crying over my lost youth to do... And when I am done with that I'll probably go listen to some Rammstein.
Actual LOL
Man, I'm glad I bumped this, funny stuff.

Hand In Hand ~ Dire Straits
I generally prefer my Dire Straits to have the dockside pub feel of their earlier albums, but their Springsteen-esque Making Movies is undoubtedly their most overlooked effort. Overshadowed by the Grammy Award-winning Brothers In Arms, and the monster guitar chops of their first effort, this album makes it's own unique statement.
This album is really a departure. Seems like they had more fun. Still a guitar driven album, this one seems to be more restrained, though it's probably the closest thing to a hard rock album they've done.
Dire Straits albums seem to age better than most. Making Movies could've been recorded today, and still seem fresh.

I actually own it on vinyl. Great fucking album. I believe Pitchfork.com called it the best album of 2009.

That's one of the best tracks on the album.
Gotta say, Rammstein rarely disappoints.

I like Frühling In Paris the most. I would've said Donaukinder, but it's a bonus track. Of course the whole album is pretty great. Even the worst songs eventually become likeable. They prove you can be just as heavy and controversial on the wrong side of 40 as you were at 20. They don't sound any older than they did on Herzeleid, maybe more solid.

I like Frühling in Paris a lot too. Before Liebe Ist Für Alle Da was released I really didn't expect I'd like it for some reason. The only song I'd heard was Pussy, which I really didn't like at all (though, much like you said, it eventually became likeable to me). Ended up really loving most of the album.
Last song listened to: Frühling in Paris
