Jedi KnightI'm guessing that's different than the officially published script. Interesting.

Niiice...now they just need to bring it over our way =/

The good thing with yesasia.com.. they ship mostly worldwide, without shipping fees...
If my PS3 would be not Region B (Europe) and if I would have some money left this year, I would give the jamanese Disc a try. I just got the german DVD this month watched Johnny Mnemonic for the first time... the movie was somekind cool.... and if the japanese Version is a bit ironically.. just the better. Okay about 36 Euro for a BluRay is much money.

Jedi KnightYesasia used to be awesome until they raised there prices by ten or twenty dollars on every single dvd from japan.
Cdjapan has better prices but not free shipping i think.
I found out it takes forever with yesasia no matter what grade of shipping you use.
There warehouse is in china or hongkong or something.
Whereas if you buy direct from a place in japan you can get a dvd by Ems in like 3-5 days.
Just way expensive for shipping. Can't really complain though, laserdiscs from japan are much more expensive or even LP vinyl records because of how much they weigh. Cd and Dvd are somewhat cheaper.
Typical Japan dvd's start out at around 40.00 US the lowest up to 90.00 the highest for a regular or special dvd with bonuses. Boxsets are just absurdly expensive going for hundreds is not thousands of dollars for dvds. Blu Rays are about 20 dollars more than dvd for regular blu ray. Blu ray boxsets are like 200 dollars which is really too much money considering they usually don't have english subtitles and dubs and if they do they charge more for the boxset.
If you are talking regular hollywood american films then they should not be too expensive, but what ever you do never get into japan or china foreign films or anime because you will be poor from it,lol.

Japan DVDs seem to be everywhere somebit expensive.
A friend of mine ordered the Gackt limited CD Set at Yesasia and was very pleased. First of all, they don't sell Bootlegs. Okay, they seem to be somebit expensier than Amazon.co.jp for exanmple, but at amazon the shipping fees are quite hight, and Yesasia seems to be good at sending with avoiding taxes and duty tolls.
I ordered the Grindhouse Double Feature 6 Disc Set at Yesasia. The price there was about the same as it had been at Amazon.co.jo with shipping fee. But at amazon.co.jp it would never get duty free ;)
And Hong Kong DVDs are not always expensive at yesasia.

Jedi KnightI was looking at this disc again today and was surprised that it was stereo with dingy looking video.
That's not meant to be a slam on the Rev. The fault is most definitely the source material.
Interestingly, it turns out JM has gotten a Blu-Ray release in Japan.
I'd love to see an upgrade of this if anyone is capable.

Apparently the extended version on the Japanese BD is available in SD only. So the same as the previous DVD.

Jedi KnightWhat is it then, both versions of the film on the disc and the U.S. cut is HD but the extended is SD, or are they actually selling SD movies on BDs?

Yup, US cut is HD and extended Japanese cut is an extra in SD.

Thanks. Disappointing, but I'm sure you just saved someone from buying it unknowingly.
