Lots of people have telescopic canes, especially blind people.
It's like taking someone's eyes away because they look a bit like hand grenades.

I sincerely hope Peter will be up for the rigors of playing Chewie again. I can't even imagine someone else in the suit. He is to Chewie what the late Kevin Peter Hall was to the original Predator and Harry. You can't just put any bloke in that costume.

Right. it's the same for the entire cast. Whatever signs of age the original actors bring is easily explained because they are the same age as the characters in the film. If Peter has bad legs now, why shouldn't Chewie?
