Return to Form, or Forum in this case!!It depends, wouldn't care for the Jedi part. I was more in the Han Solo fanbase.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

aka PancakesNah, I wouldn't. I'd get killed way too quickly in the Star Wars universe.
I would, however, agree to go to Mars for the rest of my life to set up a colony with a bunch of people I've never met, leaving everyone I knew behind. So, there's that.

I bet you could be a smuggler without having to go to another reality. Or at least have the bounty hunters after you.

Joliet Jakeunfortunately there grammar is taught by Yoda, so all sentences like this would be, mmh!
... And they had 'The Empire Strikes Back', the fifth of the four Star Wars films. He is fucking with us numerically, isn't he! "Children, count up to ten." "Four, five, six, one, two, three, ten". No, it goes, four, five, six, one, two, three… No, it goes: four, five, six. One... Two and three have not been made." "Two and three have not been made! What should they be?" "What should they be? We do not know. All we know is that there will be a big floppy character in it that goes, squawk squawk squawk... who needs a punch up the bracket!"

No no, it's just a hurried kb problem.
Regarding the topic, I'd want to know more before signing up. If I'm giving up everything in my life (including women), what do I get out of it? In other words...

How much would something like that pay?

Magister Pontifex MaximusNo way!
Being a Jedi is insanely dangerous.
People shooting at you left right and centre, sword fights with blades that can cut through almost anything not to mention the large amounts of pointlessly positioned death pits.
I'd be very suspicious of any God who offered me such a deal.
Either he knows my character (in which case why is he offering me something I clearly do not want?) or he doesn't in which case I suspect he didn't get a high grade in God School.
It's not as if the job comes with much in the way of perks. The old Jedi Mind trick only works on the weak minded of certain species which makes it just a little bit less effective than common mesmerism. The wardrobe is hardly inspiring and as I said earlier the weaponry is really dangerous (a Tissue Compression Eliminator is just as portable, less dangerous for the user and a lot more..amusing).
Besides I'm perfectly happy as I am or at least I would be if I could get this antique Dematerialisation Circuit to work (what has he been doing to it, it's got a shoe lace tied to one end and it's covered in lint?).

Ointment FlySo you think you could get the Jedi to train you if you already planned to go rogue? See through you, they would.
I don't think you should waste this oppertunity.

If darf vardar came down from planet vulcan and told you that heaven is real and that if you wanted to go live there and be trained as a angel but leaving meant you would have to give up all ties to your life here...family friends etc..etc and he would melt your brain would you go?

Laser BrainDarf Vardar would have to answer me this question first:
"Why would I want to go?"
Adventure, meh, excitement, meh, a Jedi craves not these things.
