The User of MathsI had been looking forward to the Star Wars collection to see CG Yoda in the sequel trilogy but that didn't happen. Who wants CG Yoda? Yoda might look good riding around on Lukes back then.

There is a forum for discussion of the existing and future/past petitions:

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterFrankly, I'd rather put the creepy TPM puppet yoda into AOTC and ROTS.
And what exactly are the "sequels"?

The User of MathsBy sequels I mean the sequel trilogy.

There isn't a sequel trilogy. A sequel duology, if we're talking only movies. But maybe you want to include the Holiday Special then sure, i'll buy into your sequel trilogy concept.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityMathUser has NO IDEA what site he's on, does he? Its only in the name, my friend. This probably isn't the place to suggest such things, or refer to them as the "sequel trilogy".

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterThis is the first time I've ever heard the term "sequel trilogy". Is it actually used on other sites like TFN? If so, wow. That makes it seem that the prequels are really the basis and the original three films came along later and build on the story that the prequels started. Amazing, the assimilation is complete.
But back on topic, assuming by sequel trilogy he means the original trilogy, then a petition requesting a CG yoda to replace the puppet yoda is one I would never sign.

My guess is either MathUser is trying to spark something. Or they are young and were taught about the Wars from someone who grew up during the last three movies. 'Sequel Trilogy' in the context of Star Wars shows a lack of understanding the history. But if you hadn't thought about it, and all you remember hearing was Prequel Trilogy, then you might assume Sequel Trilogy. Need to see a few more posts to make a judgement.
MathUser if you want people to consider your idea, change the thread title to 'Petition for digital replacement of Yoda in Original Trilogy' that should gather some choice words from various members around here.
I don't think 'sequel trilogy' is used in this way over at TF.n. Did a search through their forums and getting almost 5k hits, but the top 10 are all talking about Episode 7-9.

The User of MathsI mean Sequel Trilogy. I don't mean original Trilogy because the original Trilogy means the unaltered Trilogy and I intended for the changes to be in the altered Trilogy.

So you want a petition to put CGI Yoda in the OT SE?
Still don't understand why that belongs here.

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterPerhaps you think that "SE" is an abbreviation for "sequel"? It's actually an abbreviation for "special edition".

If you don't mind, could you explain where you've learned about this term, what types of fans use it according to you and where are these people conversing?
Most of us here have been in a part of SW culture for 20-30 years, and we admittingly are not part of the newer generations, which I gather you are a part of. But we've never come across this phrase. And it sound completely illogical, as you have a prequel and a sequel but nothing but a non-existant film which sets those two up. It's not unbelievable, just a hey that's so weird only reality could invent it, kind of thing
