Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityWatched it this morning. I couldn't tell what was SE and what wasn't. You managed to make the whole thing look like it could have been made in 1999!
Loved your Spock eyebrow at people running by screaming about murderers. Also enjoyed the main characters insistence that "NONBELIEVERS ARE THE FIRST TO DIE!" Thankfully you answered my only question at the end:
SPOILERS
How the Ice Cream Killer could have killed in the 50's and the 90's.
END SPOILERS
A good effort, I'm glad you were able to save this for the future.

LOL, "stupid white people."
This is not a lightsaber. Nor a euphemism.

Better a bad bomb than a bombadThanks guys. I think outside the cast and our wives, you might be the first people to watch this thing since we debuted it in our dorm in '99. :)
Making a movie with the 'all in one take' method of old was frustrating, but looking back, little synergies and coincidences are what it's all about.
The only idea we had going in was "slasher killer kills college kids." In fact, IIRC we wanted him to wear a scary gas-mask, but the guy who was going to lend us his gas-mask left, and we had to make the "Laughing Man Killer" mask out of a t-shirt sleeve and magc markers... but in the end it's a whole lot cooler.
James (the black dude) was the on duty RA, and couldn't leave the building, but worked out great for the plot.
The "Hippies Watching TV" scene, my favorite, was not some brilliant idea. It was becuase the dudes in it actually got stoned and didn't want to go and do whatever scene we had actually thought of first.
If I was a bit more like Gerge Lucas I'd claim this was all my original vision and not lucky breaks and clever collaborators.

Han D. SoloCool thread. I actually did the exact same thing with our home made movies from when I was in secondary school. Nothing too serious, just some snipps of where the screen was dark for too long and stuff like that, although I did crop it to 16:9, which was something I really wanted to do back then but I just didn't have the technology ;-)
I have been planning to do a super duper special edition for years but never got around to it.
If anyone wants to watch it it's here:

And the sequel is here:

The dialogues are mostly just Czech profanity (especially in the first one) [edit: I actually added English subs to the first one], the image quality is terrible (I only had a copy of a copy left when I did the digitalization) and there's no real story to speak of (it's our take on Alien and I only wanted to do it because I saw this documentary about how they did the Alien queen test for Aliens with garbage bags and stuff like that and I wanted to try stuff like that too, so it was all about the awesome locations and creature effects and the groundbreaking digital special FX in the sequel ;-D ). But I still find it hilarious.

Lucas: I am altering the film. Pray I don't alter it any further.
Fans: This film is getting worse all the time!

Haha! The Harmy Film 2003 logo is cool, like... Lucasfilm parody. I did the same "Lucas thing" last year. I did a short movie with my friends in September for my English class, but we never had time to finish it properly. So, I released it to the teacher with a subtitle "Workprint" on it. Now I'm finishing it with better storyboards, new scenes and new Visual FX and I dubbed it "Workprint 2.0".
