Color temp or tone

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20064010-1/what-is-tv-color-temperature-and-why-does-it-matter/

The Dark Knight Blu-ray is the best movie to calibrated your T.V.

Use this scene for brightness(black level), to where you can see Bat Mans eye holes/nose. Plus you need to see the traction of the tire(dark dark dark gray/gold,gold cus of the light).

Use this scene for contrast, just to where you can see every black boards for the light tiles. Plus use this scene for color(saturation), to where the skin tones look normal.

Or this scene for the color(saturation),just to make the colored lights look natural. To where the top of the blue building is a dark blue, and the mid-top of the building is a vivid blue. Plus the red and the green of this scene needs to be a vivid red and green.                                                 And this scene is good for brightness too, just make the blacks as dark as possible and to where you can just see the differences between 90%-95% of the buildings side/top edges.

The Tint(Hue) should be 50% green and 50% red. Remember that color tone should be at the warmest setting, and color temperature should be at the lowest setting lowest setting(may look a little red or yellow at first, but that's normal if you been watching on a cool or high setting). Sharpness should be 40%- 25%. DNR should be low, off,or auto. Gamma(if you have it) should be 2%-2.5%(2.2 is the normal standards for T.V.s), or full-range. Have no overscaning, set edge enhanment to off.

Hell there

It's August in Arizona, so some people would say that, yes, it is Hell here.  ;)

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit.  Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.

Password for all ROTJ-related clips: ROTJ

A very rough edit of how the Battle of Endor could go
A very rough idea of how ROTJ could end

Rough edit based on the final script with some deviation:

I believe TVs are generally calibrated using male to female adapters.

Natural Red is just like the Crayon/marker color , natural blue is like the crayon/marker color, and natural green is like the crayon/marker color. So take a White Paper and draw 3 separate lines with the Red, Blue, and Green with the crayon/markers. So when you use a calibrate system/disc for your T.V. look at the paper and try to make the colors look as close as possible to the colors on the paper without washing out the colors.

Brightness is black level (make the blacks as dark as possible without having crushed blacks).

Contrast is white level (make the whites as white as possible without having crushed whites).

For Sharpness put it as high or low as you can without having edges on the picture or having the picture be to soft.

NOTE: Calibrations will take about a week for your liking.

Thanks for the info, but I've already found my tried-and-true method for television calibration.

God doesn't think in terms of black or white - or even shades of gray - but in big, bright, bold hues of blue and orange.

Oooh, what caliber is that?

... And they had 'The Empire Strikes Back', the fifth of the four Star Wars films. He is fucking with us numerically, isn't he! "Children, count up to ten." "Four, five, six, one, two, three, ten". No, it goes, four, five, six, one, two, three… No, it goes: four, five, six. One... Two and three have not been made." "Two and three have not been made! What should they be?" "What should they be? We do not know. All we know is that there will be a big floppy character in it that goes, squawk squawk squawk... who needs a punch up the bracket!"

What sort of insane person calibranines their T.V. ?

And if there was such a person don't you'd think they would go into great detail about it in a custom built, fit for purpose thread rather than hijacking this one for their personal jollys?

RE: How to Calibrate you T.V.

The reason way I made a calibration forum is because it made the 2004 DVD have almost correct colors, just about no crushed blacks, no over use of contrast(apart from a few shots). Darth Vaders lightsaber is almost red in alot of shots, lukes green lightsaber in ANH is almost gone(apart from the frist green lightsaber shot) ,plus it just about looks like a film with no color mess ups, etc.Plus all my other films looks great too.
