Use The Forks!I like the clone wars series!
Yes I agree the movie wasnt up to much as it was a couple of episodes plucked from the first series put together but now getting towards the end of the third it seems to be maturing into something very good. The main characters are actually maturing too, the way they act and the way they look.
We've got to see minor characters from the pt including young Boba hanging out with other bounty hunters.
I'd recomend people who were put off by the movie version checking out some of the latest episodes.

I am ready for the trials! The two part season finale rocked! It really pushed the envelope in terms of good guys and bad being violently killed onscreen. Not to mention seeing some of the gruesome hunting trophies the Trandoshans keep around! Not sure they could have gotten away with any of this the first year.
Seeing Chewie again, especially when he did his trademark head tilt melted my cold, weary, cynical fan heart for a while. Plenty of Wookiee and Trandoshan ass whupping to go around too. Alas, no arms were removed from their sockets...
And for the prequel hater in all of us, a blink and you'll miss it easter egg to savor. ;)

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityTook the words out of my mouth. Every other thing ever stated in the OT has been shown (long and drawn out) in the prequels, why not that one? I guess Chewie never lost...LeeThorogood said:

Every time Chewie fought one of the lizards I was thinking to myself "Pull his arms out of his sockets!" LOL would have been cool to see this.

Advanced Padawan LearnerI love the series as much as I hate the PT. I agree with a lot here, the series is, what the PT should have been. Dave Filoni, the man who wrote a couple of episodes of "Avatar - The Last Airbender", does, what GL wasn't able to do. The characters are deepend, more believable. Anakin is likeable and I really like Ahsoka. I even like the JarJar episodes.

There's a trailer of season 4 at the official site:

Looks ok I guess. It seems though as they plan to continue with the "OT character of the week" plan we've been getting lately.

I have to admit that jarjar is not nearly as annoying as he was in the prequels.. now he's just mildly irritating.
Anyway, I just watched the finale last night and was pleasantly surprised that chewies appearance didn't annoy me. It was a good episode but it didn't feel like a season finale. Nothing really game changing happened. Oh well. I was satisfied.

Son of the SunsI actually stopped watching the series in the beginning of 3rd season. While it has some okay moments, many episodes are dragging so long and all the politics etc. and all the other stuff I mentioned before. It really isn't for me.

Yeah that was a big complaint. The first half of the 3rd season was all politics. But then they "kicked it into high gear" and was consistently good until the end of the season. (except for the mortis episodes.)

Yes he is, he is a typical 'pretty face' in Hollywood who we wont hear about 10 years from now. I've seen alot of his movies, and he is the same in all of them: Bland. The only role he is pretty good in is 'Shattered Glass.'

Ashoka proved she can stand on her own in a really bad, almost hopeless situation, in spite of Anankin's fears. It's an important milestone for a character many initially disliked, and I'm betting she becomes a full fledged Jedi next season.
Chewie looked spot on to the walking carpet we loved in the OT, and nothing like the ROTS costume.

And for those that missed it, and will no doubt get a sick satisfaction from seeing it like I did...

Padawan LearnerI've missed several episodes, do we have an idea how close to Episode III they are now? I thought the one with Tarkin was pretty cool, that kind of OT connection interests me more than a Chewie cameo since it relates to Anakin, and how cartoon Anakin is sort of a do-over for movie Anakin. They've even told the guy who does the voice not to do a Hayden impression, yet Ben and Padme etc. are meant to sound very similar to those actors. (That might be awkward if they ever meet at conventions or whatever. "Hi, they told me to make sure I don't talk like you")

That can't happen. Remember that Anakin can't be a Master in RotS.

All we know is that we're closer to RotS than previous episodes and they're moving chronologically since the halfway point of the 3rd season.

Where is it written in stone that a student can't rise past the teacher? The Jedi seem to bend their own rules when the need arises. Anakin was supposed to be "too old" to train to begin with.
And there is such a thing as a "battlefield promotion"...

Watched a snippet of the "Godzilla" episode the other day - some invincible Moster dinoSuer with an impenetrable metal shell threatened a planet and they started debating over the ethical question whether killing it as the "last of its species" would be justified.
Then, after they got him tranquilized with some gas, Palpatine or something decided that it should be examined scientifically, in the interest of the war... by TAKING IT TO CORUSCANT.
Then to make matters worse, Palpatine obviously does it out of his lust for power, and he actually lets that through while Mace and a few others are watching. You see, they debate over what to do with the monster in the laboratory, and Palpatine names his reasons (weapon technology for the war, indestructible ships etc.), and then he utters to himself "this will bring power, power!" or something like that with that mad, greedy voice, and Mace stands JUST RIGHT NEXT to him and DOESN'T EVEN PAY ATTENTION.
Guess what, Godzilla escapes after they try to kill it, and starts roaming the city.
Everything I've see from CW until now, was absolute dogshit.

MySpleen AdminI prefer the Animated version of Clone Wars that came before the current series. It was done by the same folks that made Samurai Jack. Not a lot of dialog, more cartoon violence.
