Lost JediCorrect me if I'm wrong, but as Empire was the least "damaged" movie of the OT, it might be easier for you to "fix" it?

Please bear with me if I tend to get too excited about anything or say too much, I have issues.

Can't wait to see this. In the mean time, could someone reup the covers on something that isn't megaupload? I'm a bit anal about my films on my HDD having to be complete with covers and stuff...

Lost JediHuh? Seriously? I really thought it was the least changed movie of the OT. Sorry for misspeaking then.

Least noticeably changed, yes, but there are tons of barely-noticeable recomps. Which doesn't make it any easier for Harmy, but it does mean if he doesn't fully despecialize every last one, we're less likely to notice.

Padawan LearnerJust saw the comparison video: wow! I see the clever rotoscoping you did! How did you manage to get the transparency effect back in the cockpit POV shot?
What's the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Han D. SoloIn this shot, it was never removed, just brightening the overly darkened image of the BD brings it out more. The only inside-cockpit shot that had the transparency removed was the first one in this clip (and I did restore it there).

Hello everybody,
it´s only my 2nd post in this forum but I am already asking for some help and/or advice. Hope you don´t mind :)
I was trying yesterday to add a spanish audio sountrack to ESB (ripped from the 2nd disc of the limited edition 2006 DVD), using both Tsmuxer or MKVtoolnix as an alternative. But there´s no way to get it right and in the end I´m always having it totally out of sync.
It´s barely one second at the begginining of the movie, but as it goes on, it gets higher and higher.
The most strange fact to me is that my ripped audio is 1h:59m long, while Harmy´s mkv is around 2h:05m !
I´d really apreciate if someone could enlighten me a little bit :)
many thanks !

Joliet JakeIf I'm not mistaken, what you have there is PAL speedup. In Europe, and therefore also in Spain, before the arrival of HD tvs and bluray technology, we used the PAL system, that for technical reasons required all film content to be sped up by roughly 4%.
Harmy's release, on the other hand, conforms to proper film speed, and so you would need to slow down your soundrack to match that.
I would suggest you to take a look at the "How-To's and Technical Discussions" subforum, specifically this thread:
Doctor-Ms-berGuide-for-Full-PAL-to-NTSC-DVD-Conversion-v20/topic/10111/
... And they had 'The Empire Strikes Back', the fifth of the four Star Wars films. He is fucking with us numerically, isn't he! "Children, count up to ten." "Four, five, six, one, two, three, ten". No, it goes, four, five, six, one, two, three… No, it goes: four, five, six. One... Two and three have not been made." "Two and three have not been made! What should they be?" "What should they be? We do not know. All we know is that there will be a big floppy character in it that goes, squawk squawk squawk... who needs a punch up the bracket!"

So, I have another anniversary surprise for you guys. It is very much work in progress but it should be interesting nonetheless:

OK, here's the comparison video. The color correction is just a temporary, one setting for the whole clip kind of deal but you'll see there's much more going on here than just color correction.

Thank you Harmy for your great efforts to bring us such AMAZING quality! :D

I might've missed something in the posts but do ESB & ROTJ have Japanese audio too? Before I download them.
Thanks

So long as there's a place I can download it. But does that force me into usenet? I've no experience with it at all.

Sorry to bother you gents, but I'm having a bit of an issue getting my AVCHD burns of ESB and ROTJ to work right. My 2.1 ANH is working fine.
I'm using K3b on Ubuntu to burn and dropping the files on the disc. When burned, it's refusing to play. I'm not sure why it's giving me issues, though, as ANH works.

Harmy, First of all, I would like to thank you very much for giving us these editions, and going through the hard effort. It makes me very happy to have these. Upon watching Empire, I was wondering if Luke's lightsaber had been rotoscoped a darker blue in the Bespin duel (where he's holding on to the wall before he gets sucked out the window)? Thanks,
TS

Han D. SoloNo, there was no rotoscoping done in the ESB duel.

Thanks!
