Someone should try to contact James Earl Jones. How righteous would that be?
I wonder if David Prowse is sufficiently disgusted that he might want to do it?
I have a better idea.
Disgusted with Lucasfilm in general. He's been essentially "banned from the ranch" for a couple years now. He's not allowed to appear at celebration.

Interesting. Why?
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

It's a long story going all the way back to the production on ROTJ, when he was accused of leaking the script. He also has claimed he hasn't recieved his share of the profits from the film.

What's the exact error message? Also did you type in the password or did you just highlighted it in your browser and pasted it? Because if you've done it this way you could e.g. copy an additional space or line break after the password
Here's the exact message:
Error code 5 using "unrar" Write error. No permission? No space left?
The password is never copy/pasted, I made sure it was typed in correctly. I don't think space is an issue, as i've still got a few gigs left free on my hardrive.
No space left? Does it by any chance crash after unpacking 4GBs? I unfortunately don't know what error code 5 is, so I'm guessing, but the last time I had a "no space left" error message was when I was trying to unpack something on an external drive formated as FAT32 :)

My unarchiver (Keka for OSX) usually spends a few minutes trying to unpack the file and then gives me an error code. Luckily it doesn't crash though. I'm just downloading this to my HDD right now, since my external is currently elsewhere. Thanks for the assist!
Can someone please point me to directions on what to do after I've downloaded the 37 different .rar files via JDownloader? Sorry, not done this before. thank you.
You should be able to use WinRar or 7-zip (my preference) and tell it to unpack the first file (as long as they're all in the same folder).

Im on OSX, so I'll find a reasonable facsimile..
many thanks.
Here's a little example of why this work is really important Harmy. My dad and I have always had Star Wars. It is just as big as watching football or baseball together, if not bigger. I waited a long time to become a dad myself (I'm a ripe old 42). My son is seven now. My dad is visiting and he suggested the three of us watch Star Wars. He was not aware of the Despcialized Editions and I really don't know why I haven't told him. He is visiting because he is terminally ill. I can't tell you how special it was to him for the three generations to see the film that he and I loved instead of the inferior SE. He was totally amazed and impressed that a fan did this. Of course he has his own copies now to take back home (shame on me for neglecting this) and my son and I have a memory that can't be erased the same way Sebastian Shaw was in ROTJ.
To contribute to The Starchaser 3D project, please pm for details
That's really great - thanks for sharing that :-)
That's exactly why these versions need to be preserved, above and beyond their intrinsic cinematic and historical value. They're not just entertainment, they're personal experiences, they're something we share with family and friends… they mean something to us.
“That’s impossible, even for a computer!”
@Chris Solo... very moving, and thank you for sharing that with the other fans around here who understand why Harmy's work is so important. I have friends who are just discovering these restorations and they are beside themselves with appreciation. It means a great deal more than one might know. Thanks again.

Check out "The Unarchiver". It's in the App Store.

Thought I would try and upload my 3 in 1 Blu ray I made from Harmy's work.
Can't find it anywhere Im sure I burnt it to disc:( It took me ages aswell I am gutted.
Hi all!
I'm new around here and the first thing I want to do is to thank Harmy for the titanic effort put into this!
I've already read from some previous posts that the castilian dub has the garbage compactor scene in latin american. I wanted to know, is it possible to get the corrected track somewhere and patch it into the mkv?
Thank you!

I would love to see that. It's also more likely than with David Prowse or James Earl Jones.

Guys, this isn't Star Trek Despecialized. What does George Takei have to do with Star Wars?
Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
