Yeah you got me, you are so full of shit, I would like to continue, but you Sir are absolutely not worth it, we know what you are here, it is pretty transparent, you add nothing but stupid crazy comments.
Gotta admit it was a pretty good line.

Not jealous, more dumbfounded at this whole situation, $1500.00 for a PC to work with the Blu-rays that he has said more than once he had no interest in using, so yes, it is truly amazing to me, but its all good.
Yahahaha. You're like a parody of an angry internet guy. I don't even know what you're so upset about.
You make it sound like donations are completely unheard of here. I've donated to quite a few projects/causes here (like Laserman, X/0 etc.) because I fully support the work they stand for.
Anytime anyone becomes borderline effusive with compliments about this project you get bizarrely defensive about your own. It's totally fucking odd man.

Dark Jedi KnightLOL, here we go again, you say I am upset\mad, I am just sitting here grinning at what a fool you really are, and your cussing comments, your goofy jabs, your outrageous lines, you prove more and more how you are with every crazy post, I laugh at your comments, so meaningless and worthless, absolutely nothing to add ever comes from your fingers.

Shush, you.
Anyway, I'm currently using Handbrake to rip the 720p DEED for the iPad. Looking forward to the results! I think I'll be ripping as many of the fan edits/preservation efforts as possible- I can be a nerd wherever I go.
Thanks again, Harmy, for your work (you, too, DJ, as i know you're reading this thread!)

I wouldn't even put it in PMs, which are still tied to the forum. Completely separate in emails would be more appropriate.

Padawan LearnerDark_Jedi, as you know I am a big fan of your project and I donated a package of blanks for your efforts, but I don't think it's appropriate that you keep detracting from Harmy's project. Several pages back you said that you were going to let it go and not post anymore unless provoked, but you seem to keep popping back in the thread with snide remarks. Is there some animosity you have towards Harmy and his work?

Advanced Padawan LearnerI would donate some money for a new Notebook, since I have a serious interest in getting the 1.2 done, so we can use it for our german project.
Someone mentioned to buy the notebook in the US and send it to him, but you have to remind that the power supply wont be compatible to czech national grid.

I program robots to blow me!I think it'd be better if we donated into a central fund, like a Paypal account controlled by Harmy, that way he could use it to buy whatever hardware he preferred locally. Would be way easier I imagine, and probably cheaper on his end too (rather than having someone else buy it and ship it to him).

dark_jedi you have to get out of here now. Your posts are useless and you are acting like a jerk here. You are acting like a hopeless jealous guy. Get over it. You are not a kid (I suppose).
You know what, I actually tried your work and effort and I didn't like it. It was blurry and I have the original GOUT DVD and it's not as bad as your work. Even if your work was a good job I would avoid it with the way you are acting. You are acting like Lucas, like a jerk and I don't want to watch your work. Now get out of this thread and don't troll.

OK guys, I don't like this one bit, Moth3r's right. I don't know what got into DJ but then I don't think he's got any reason to be jealous (his projects are awesome and a great improvement over the GOUT) and these personal attacks won't accomplish anything. Let me remind you, that DJ's efforts were a crucial part of this project and I am very grateful that he was so kind and shared his work with me - without it, this project would have been way less good. As to the donations, I'm not convinced. The thing is that once I'd accept anything like that, these projects will become more of an obligation in my mind, instead of the fun little hobby they are now.

OK, enough (sorry Frink it's not that I don't agree with you there). I wanted to ask this in a PM but Moth3r's inbox seems to be full, so I'll have to ask here (and believe me, asking this hurts, I'm a big fan of the relaxed moderation here and hate how posts get deleted in other forums but this is getting too much):
I'm really quite upset about this whole situation. Would it be possible to remove/edit any further posts that concern this DJ conflict from my thread? I really don't want it to develop any further. Thank you.

Han D. SoloWell, I would feel really stupid asking someone bluntly like that, I already feel stupid even considering small donations. If I'd decide to accept something though, I would definitely feel much better accepting a material donation to a monetary one.
And people seem to be expecting 1080p, if I got better hardware, but that's unlikely, I'd probably stick to 720p because of the sources I have for the unaltered scenes. The thing is that now, I can't work with or output uncompressed video, so the resulting video is considerably worse than the source material. If I used the Blu-Rays (and with none's difference overlay project, I'm quite confident that we can find all the BD changes in a short time, which is what made me even consider using them) and worked with uncompressed all the way through the process, there should be very little to no compression artefacts. Someone on some other forum said that they had a Blade Runner 720p rip that was 2,5GB and it looked better than my 8GB DeEd, which is very well possible.

Dark Jedi KnightHey Harmy, it's all good between us, nothing has ever changed, I am still here for you, and you know how to reach me when you need anything, I have never let you down before, and I do not plan on it now, there are very few members here that I actually respect anymore, but you are definitely 1 of the members I do still respect, and call a Friend, but I like that you mentioned my project being used to help you achieve your goals, it is so funny how these followers did not know that already, makes you wonder.
Cheers Harmy
Also to the members that have PM'd me from this thread, all is good, my project is in no jeopardy of being scrubbed, it is going forward and will be available once finished, if you have read my thread you would have noticed Harmy said I was redoing them, well he is correct, some of us here do work with each other a lot more than you think behind the scenes.

I am ready for the OOT!I went through SW-DeEd again with a fine-tooth comb. I made a few notes about things that might still need some tweaking. I admit some of these are very minor.
43:20-43:25 - A faint white box is visible in the background sky that shows where the ronto used to be. Maybe you can do some kind of horizontal blend that will hide this?
1:06:25-1:10:01 - DS control room. I think you tried to increase the greens in this scene to match the technicolor prints. It's hard to pinpoint, but some shots look pushed a little too far, like the one where Han walks away from the window. Luke's side of the room looks a little better. The final shot of the droids at 1:10:01 seems to have too much red or yellow.
During the Obi-Wan & Vader duel, some of the colors on Obi-Wan look a little too contrasted. I know you tried to fix some issues with his robe appearing gray at times, but I wonder if you went too far. Another weird thing: sometimes, you can see the colors of his robe change vibrancy as he backs away from the camera.
1:42:23 - The edges of the tactical display table are too blue. This was recently pointed out somewhere around here. I think this happens every time we have a close-up shot of this table.
During the final Yavin battle, the main problem is the twinkly stars from the GOUT shots. Not all of the GOUT shots are really an issue, since they go by very quick or are moving. I know you tried to fix some of them, so I don't know if you can do any more. I almost wonder if it would be better to replace the GOUT stars with HD stars that are non-original. Not as authentic, I know, but they might be less distracting. Here's are the star shots that could use some improvement.
1:42:53 - stars: fighters lock s-foils
1:43:11 - (not stars) the fighter engines are too pink. The original engines seem to be a mix of white, pink, and red, but they're all pink here. I think this was an SE error.
1:43:23-1:43:26 - stars: 2 shots where the x-wings dive toward the DS
1:44:45 - stars: x-wing does a roll
1:46:27 - stars: TIE viewport
1:46:37 - stars: Y-Wing dive
And here's a very picky question: Would it be possible to replace the GOUT stars during the end credits? The stars don't twinkle, but they're very fat and GOUT-ish. This would definitely only be worth the effort if it's a quick fix. Manual rotoscoping isn't worth it for the credits.
And lastly, thanks a million times for making this!
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Han D. SoloYeah, I'm painfully aware of all these issues but unfortunately, I probably won't be able to fix the majority of them. I am actually going through v1.0 now myself, making a list of all the fixes I want to/might do (including those that I have already finished, just so I don't forget to put them in the edit). I'm ten minutes in and I've already got about 20 shots. But most of these I just want to try and see.

Hi Harmy, I am sure you are already well aware of this but I felt that I should mention it to you just in case. I recently watched Empire Strikes Back and I noticed that the lightsabers appear to have a ring effect surrounding them. I specifically noticed this beginning at 1:44:53.
I compared these scenes to other versions of ESB that I have and the ring is significantly more noticeable in your version. Anyway, sorry if this is old news. I just wanted to bring it to your attention in case.
Cheers.
