That's impossible, even for a computerI've had no problems playing the AVCHD's in a PS3. You might need an update.
Harmy, your versions of SW and ESB are now my go-to versions as well. I eagerly anticipate your ROTJ.

first of all I want to say that I may just cancel my pre-order of the bluray set from amazon after seeing what an incredible job was done with empire. simply incredible...
That being said I am desperately seeking part three of the star wars post. I wnt to tehparadox.com and attempted to download, all but 1 file was completed.
I need this file:
sw-deed-hd-harmy-part3-rar
Can someone please help me?
Lastly, is return available yet or is it still in progress.
Thanks all

Not yet, I'm still working on it. There is also SW v1.2 on the horizon with a few errors fixed.

Padawan LearnerThese editions are beyond awesome Harmy! I am really looking forward to checking them out :) I went through the comparisons for the first 2 movies today and I'm truly impressed by the work that has been put into it all!
Hope everything turns out well with ROTJ for you now! Btw, forgive me if this has been explained already(lots of posts to scan through), but is there a v.1.2 coming for ESB as well or is that one final? I rather prefer waiting until you're happy with everything before going on to obtain any of the releases :)

Han D. SoloThere's no plan for making another version of Empire, only SW :-)

legendary but little-known Jedi MasterHarmy, have you ever considered putting the "close the blast doors!" line into the audio track? I know it's a personal choice, since there are official versions with and without. The mono version seems the most thorough, and it has it.

Han D. SoloWell, no, I'm totally useless with audio. But the mono mix is there.
But I think it would be a nice idea (as someone here already suggested) if one of the sound guys made a nice 5.1 mix that would have all the mono mix sound choices. But I'm definitely not the right guy to attempt something like that.

Yes, that would make a great project. Oooh, a big project for sure. Hmmm, maybe after finishing the rest of the OT I can try my hand at a "Puggo Mix". It could be my excuse to get into 5.1 mixing, which I've been putting off in all my old-school stereo snobbery (rhymes with slobbery).

What all is in the mono mix that is missing from the 5.1?

Harmy, my ANH:Revisited 5.1 track has most of the mono mix dialogue, so that might be useful for you. I don;t think any sound effects were added in the places these lines were replaced

Han D. Solo@DJ: There's quite a few differences, I couldn't list them all but I bet there's a list somewhere. Moth3r?
@Ady: Well, like I said, I'm definitely not gonna do that myself, I just think it would be a nice idea.

Here you can check out the most obvious differences in the mono mix: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/russdawson/mono/index.htm
There is however much more than what is on that list.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

This is amazing! Thank you so much for doing this.
I cant seem to find a working place to download it and I admit I am not tech savvy when it comes to this type of thing. Any chance someone in the US who already has it down can send me a finished DVD?

To All Dissatisfied and Angry Star Wars Fans! You no longer need to disgusted with Mr.Lucas and his decision not to release the "non special edition" OT,because with the hard work of Harmy,Adywan and many other hard working folks you have your wish granted. After watching Harmy's "Star Wars HD despecialized Edition"and "Empire" I can announce that you all have what you've wanted. I watch my discs on a digital projector and when I started playing STAR WARS,with the tremendous sound and beautifully restored image,my mouth just dropped and I was 11 yrs old in that theater back in 1977! Let George tinker with his movies and much of the "tinkering" is very well done,IMHO. I don't hold grudges against the man who brought my favorite movie experiences into my life, but to all the Purist's out there ...screw the blu ray! Here is where you can find what you seek....Thanks a million to everyone involved in restoring our classics!

Well, I'm encoding the Jedi workprint now, which means, I'll start working on SW v1.2 soon, so if anyone has any more suggestions, speak now or forever hold your peace, because I'm NOT doing v1.3!!!

here's one that i would like to see but it's not a big deal.
in the end ceremony it looked like to me that the faces of luke and han when they come into the temple and walk up the isle are hard to focus on probably due to the HD source you used. It could be due to a little dvnr smearing i'm not sure. Are there other HD sources where their faces aren't as blurred?
But it's not that big of a thing.

lukes and hans heads keep going in and out of focus.
it's most noticable on lukes eyes in that shot
it may not be fixable.

Han D. SoloYep, that's there, someone already pointed this out to me (might have been in a PM). Seems like for some reason there's a missing frame. I'll see what I can do about it, hopefully this problem doesn't appear in other sources.

Padawan LearnerFor me just the shots of Luke training aboard the Falcon with those laser bolts and that Jedi firing a white laser shot that is suppose to be yellow.
-That bit of sky around the Dewback next to the cantina.
I thought I would throw this out there. Is there anything that can be done with those sanddunes. When 3PO says "I am not going that way."
It does look a little different. I don't think that sand moving on the left was originally there.
-I don't know if anything can be done about that little bit of motion blur when the escape pod is jettison from the Blockade Runner.
The bit of circle of light on the floor when the stromtrooper are knoocking on doors.
Luke says "Its too dangerous with the sandpeople we will have til wait." That shot looks good. Thats one you said you may redo with a different technique.
I am very happy with V.1. Thanks you so, so much for being kind and responding to pm. Like one member said "At this point you are just polishing gold."

-At around 54:30, there's a single frame of a few gray blocks above the Falcon as it zooms overhead chasing the Tie-Fighter.
-There was a similar single frame of gray blocks during one of the Tie-Fighter explosions during the final battle but now I can't seem to find it.
Again, there is no such shot anywhere near 54:30. It sounds very much like encoding problems and I'd definitely like to catch those for v1.2. Could you please locate the shots for me.
