Good news, everyone!!! I spent quite some time looking for the original 70s 20th Century Fox logo present in the original SW in HD and today, I got the original MASH movie on Blu and found out that it's there, so I'll be able to use it :-)

I already had the 80s Fox logo used in Jedi in HD from the D-Box Alien DC, so now I'll be able to use an actual HD Fox logo in SW as well.

Any idea when SW:DE 2.0 will be ready? (slap me if you've recently announced this info. Just popped on and saw this news and had to comment)

Well, I'm working on ROTJ workprint and when that's out, I'll start working on SW, so I'd give it at least a month.

just as a ball park figure, what percentage done with the rotj workprint are you?  just wanna start the countdown :-)

It depends on a point of view. I've got about 25% of it cut together and I'm about half way through  making the subs. But seeing as how I've already got all the other despecialized shots finished, I would say I'm nearly 90% done with Jedi altogether. But it's so f*cking hot here now that all I feel like doing is lying down watching movies, so my workflow is somewhat slowed down - therefore the prolonged estimated firing range ;-)

I'm pretty sure Harmy is Czech...so, probably not very close to Illinois.

Not sure where you live, but here in Illinois it was 99 with a heat index of 117 yesterday and supposed to be just like that again today. It's some of the hottest weather I have ever experienced....and it sucks!!!!

Tell me about it, I am in Illinois also and DAMN is it HOT! glad we have a big ass Pool and AC LOL, 1 good thing about it though is when it is this hot, the grass does not grow, so no mowing.

Yea we know Harmy is not in the US, but he is obviously feeling the HEAT.

Yeah, the funny thing is that while where you guys are it seems to be hot all the time now, here in the Czech Republic (central Europe) it is god damn hot now with similar temperatures as you describe but it was pretty cold just last week.

Hey folks, I have sadly had no luck at all downloading this.  I've tried various browsers, and JDownloader, and it always crashes about a third of the way through.

So, is there anyone here in the U.S. who might be willing to make a copy for me (the HD version), if I send a USB hard drive?

I'm sorry you didn't manage to DL. I know it's a bummer but if you're going into this kind of trouble for getting it, wouldn't it be better to wait for V1.2? But it is of course up to you, it won't be that much better but it should be an improvement nonetheless.

I watched Star Wars last night and I almost cried it was so beautiful.  The GOUT shots blended seamlessly and in many cases, even know I know what you did, I still couldn't spot any imperfections.  

Since you are solicited input on any issues for 1.2, I thought I throw out 2 minor glitches I saw, although I suspect they may either be the result of the render or the compression to create the DVD5:

-At around 54:30, there's a single frame of a few gray blocks above the Falcon as it zooms overhead chasing the Tie-Fighter.

-There was a similar single frame of gray blocks during one of the Tie-Fighter explosions during the final battle but now I can't seem to find it.

As to your comments, there is no such shot anywhere near 54:30. If there are any encoding problems like that, I'd definitely like to catch those for v1.2.

I was using the Czech version, and that one wasn't cooperating.  But now that I'm on myspleen (thanks dj!) it won't be a problem. 

Thanks to everyone who replied.  Switching to Czech didn't work, but it worked great on MySpleen.

This is an awesome edition.  My only quibble might be that the reds still seem a bit hot.  But this is now my go-to version.  The amount of work you put into it really shows.
