Is it me, of is Han's shirt in docking bay 94 very very yellow ? Same thing for when they are escaping from the Death Star... Like I said could be my memory, but pretty sure it was white.

Padawan LearnerHis shirt was probably white in the myriad of video releases that you've seen in the past 20 or so years.
However, the color timing on Harmy's project is based on a non-faded print from 1977, so this is pretty much how people back then saw the film.
What's the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Wow.. funny how I can remember the lyrics to stupid cereal commercial from the 80s but not remember Han's shirt colour. So what you're saying is, if I pop in my 1995 VHS tape his shirt will be white as apposed to yellowish. Not complaining, just that in a few scenes the shirt does go from yellowish to white back to yellowish.
Thanks for the reply, I am new here and will admit not as accustomed to so much discussion on all these versions (colour timings/palettes etc). Up until recently, I pretty much stopped watching Star Wars since the Special Edition train wreck. Only back to viewing my '04 DVDs because I didn't want my children to see Phantom Menace :)

So true... should've kept my mouth shut.
Still best Star Wars I've seen in many years, no complaints.

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal. No, it's a good point to discuss. Honestly it's the first time many of us have really seen something approaching the film "as it really was in '77" in decades, if ever. Things like colors and details will occasionally look unfamiliar and maybe even wrong, because the old video transfers were washed out and lacking detail, and that's what we're most used to. It takes a while for your brain to get used to the idea that thirty years of memories are not actually as historically accurate as something you saw for the first time this year.

"You don't need to see his identification"Han's shirt was actually an off-white/cream(ish) sort of color then. It IS interesting to see it change colors in multiple scenes, to a yellow(ish) look though, especially seeings that Luke's outfit (Cloak?) was quite similar in color, stay mostly consistent throughout this project, as did Leia's (Dress?), which was much more of a Pure White, but I don't recall seeing IT having any color issues to-speak-of!

Pretty much what I was thinking... Having seen these movies multiple times (not talking about the re-releases here) I really do not recall that much of a yellowish tint on Solo's shirt. Cream white would be a good description.. but not complaining honest. I would never "critic" something I myself would never be able to do so ... in the end it's still all good.

Han D. SoloHere's a sample from DJ and You_Too's Project Blu V2, showing what happens when you dig out the colors from the faded GOUT transfer:

The one on the top would be what I remember from my childhood (yes it's been a while but I'm not senile yes lol) or close to it anyway. Last thing I wanted to do was start a debate or have you defend your project Harmy... please don't take my comment the wrong way :)

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.Luckily we don't have to rely on anyone's memories for this one. We just use color references and if they don't match your memories, well... that's okay, I barely remember what I had for lunch today.

That's one heck of a reply.
To each his own. I just made a comment that's all. Fortunately I do remember what I had for lunch yesterday and pretty much for the whole past month.
Forget I said anything... guess we can't comment any projects without being belittled.

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal. No offense intended. Just stating that this project is lucky to be using an objective color reference so that it can't be affected by the vagaries of color memory.

Han D. SoloSome people are really touchy, aren't they?
And I'm behind CatBus on this one, I don't believe for a second that someone's memory is a good color reference ever. I think I wrote enough on the subject in the Indiana Jones thread :-)

A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.Harmy, we're bottling up all our color memories and preparing to dump them out in your Empire thread. You have been warned! Hoth is white! Hoth is blue! Hoth is teal! Hoth is cerulean!

I did not know that letting someone know the truth was also known as belittling. Everyone is equal here, try not to feel so bad if people don't agree with you :)
