I am ready for the OOT!Harmy, the latest clip looks very nice. The detail on the saddle (is that a jerba?) is much better.
Concerning the differences between 2.0 and 2.1, have you replaced or redone any of the GOUT upscales for the Death Star battle at the end? The stars in particular stand out in the GOUT shots.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

OK, guys, last chance for any v2.1 suggestions you may have.
Are you going to include the 1985 home stereo mix? (I believe it would be ripped from a 1989 laserdisc, which I think is floating around here, but I have no idea if it's been GOUT-sync'd).
I don't know if it's supposed to look like this, but here's something weird I've noticed: at 53:11 into the movie, when the Falcon is taking off from Mos Eisley, there's a shot of some stormtroopers. The trooper on the far left side of the screen has something weird going on with his outfit. His armor is dirty everywhere, except around the tops of his legs, which are unnaturally bright white. It looks very odd to me.
At 41:19, in the detention center after the shot with the interrogation droid, the bottom-left side of the screen seems to brighten/flicker in an unusual way.

Harmy, when the stormtroopers are looking for C3-PO and R2-D2 in Mos Eisley theres a shadow of the floating droid from the special edition on the ground, did you remove this?.
You're in luck, as this was thankfully removed for good just as it should be. http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Harmys-STAR-WARS-Despecialized-Edition-HD-REMASTERED-is-now-released/post/613341/#TopicPost613341

Schorman's Digital Rip of the 1977 Stereo Mix would be a great addition, as it seems to sound better than the analogue rip of the same mix.

Agreed. Please try to GOUT-sync this one, Harmy! It'd be greatly appreciated.
Also, have you considered Schorman13's digital '77, '80, and '83 mixes taken from those Japanese LDs?

At 42:50 there's a white ball behind Obi-Wan that looks like it's rolling. Is that in the originals or is it a Special Edition addition?

I don't think Harmy should be expected to produce step-by-step guides for how to burn discs. He is doing enough work as it is doing the restorations. Once his 2.1 is finalized, others can produce step-by-step guides in a separate thread. All these how-do-I-do-this-and-that is cluttering this thread terribly.
Wherever it ends up being would be greatly appreciated also I don't think it would clutter anything up as posting a guide would end all of this confusion once and for all
Dude, you seriously need to learn how to use google. It really isn't that hard. I'm very proficient at these things and I learned quickly just from searches on google. It didn't take long for me to figure it all out.
The changes that George Lucas has made over the years to Star Wars is the equivalent of someone keying your car. On an intellectual level, you know that the car still works, and its only marred a fraction of a percent of the paintjob. On an emotional level, every time you see it, it's all you can focus on, and it makes you want to rip someone's face off.

I know and I do use google I'm just saying that it would be helpful to everyone if all the information was in one place so the thread would not be cluttered up with people asking an endless series of questions and then to have an endless series of responses consisting of answers one at a time or comments instructing people to use google but whatever its not that big of a deal

Harmy, I noticed something in the garbage scene on the Death Star. Here's a picture of the scene :

I stumbled open this project and thread Sunday night and finished reading all 7800+ posts last night. Yes, I will a little obsessed for a few days J
Harmy, watching Stars Wars the way it was 35+ years ago is AWESOME. I remember every time I stayed home sick from school, I would watch Star Wars on VHS and life would be good. If I was really sick ESB would be watched the following day.
I know Harmy was not the only one that contributed to this project so to him and everyone else that pitched in. THANK YOU!!!

No need for PMs. Just search for "Harmy" on NZB.cc. The results are mostly relevant and you should be able to figure out which ones aren't.

This was part of the first editdroid release of ANH, although it was mislabeled as the original Dolby Stereo mix. Gout-synched.

I'm currently downloading the files for the 1985 home stereo mix from the Star Wars Laser Disc Audio Archive torrent on the spleen. Should be done in about 10 hours.
The mix is split into multiple files (from the multiple laserdisc sides). Would these files be useful at all to you, Harmy? I hate to ask you to do more work, but I don't have the slightest idea how to stitch these files together, much less GOUT-sync them.

Han D. SoloNeither do I. I'll only include it if I can get it GOUT synced. I'm really hopeless at any kind of sound work.

It's like it's quite possible that Picasso would have loved to use Photoshop for some of his paintings if it was available back then, but if you take a picture from Picasso and recreate it in Photoshop, it's not going to be the same picture and it can hardly be used to demonstrate Picasso's brush techniques.

I've wondered how that all worked before. To be sure, we're talking plain, ordinary GOUT version as on the 2006 DVDs, exactly as they are, correct?
Done some various synching for a few things, so I wouldn't be afraid to try, but honestly have no idea what format I can get my crap video editing software to output (Pinnacle). Perhaps I could get that, however, and still time align the "original"
Will see what I can do.

They said it came from a late 1980s laserdisc.
