Nothing wrong with LG BD burners. Mine works perfectly. I already burned quite a few BDs with it and they all work perfectly, even in my BD player.

I must have got a defective one.  It takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch for me though, definitely won't be purchasing any LG products in the future.  

Did you install the last firmware in it? Maybe this will help... ;)

That's what I said after buying a LG Viewty phone which went out of order 4 times within a year, then my slightly used LG BD player went out of order, and I just realized my BD burner is from LG. not a bad product though.
