Well, he's talking about Obi's skin but in the SE he's purple and just look at the colour of his skin in the GOUT, totally orange. And if you discolour people more than I did, they start looking like their ill and I seriously dislike that look.

If I had to pick between a black robe a blazingly orange face I'd go with the black robe, although I'm not sure why you'd have to choose between the two. It looks like he's been spray painted.

Obi is NOT too orange. He may look a bit orange in that one pic but not in the overall clip I saw.

I personally disagree with them and think Obi-Wan looks fine in that shot. Just saying.

hey harmy, awesome work.  do you have a possible release date?  no hurry though.

if you are still taking color issues i noticed that when vader is talking to the guy and he says "there's no one on board sir, according to the log the crew abandoned ship right after take off" that his skin is a little too white.

Well, yeah, I'm taking a little break now. I'm not not working on it but I was getting so tired of it, that I decided to work at a slower pace. This shouldn't affect the release date too badly, it should still be finished in a week or two.

And those technicolour pictures can't be taken as a perfect reference, they are just pictures taken by a digital camera from a cinema screen after all and they're definitely too bright and also quite blue-shifted (look at Obi's hair and Luke's shoulder) and slightly green-shifted (Luke's hair):

I'm sorry man, but that's just not reasonable. They are too bright because of the way they were captured but even after adjusted for brightness they can still be used as a fantastic color timing reference, the first shot looks completely natural and the second one is way off, it looks like he put lipstick on and sat under the sun for 6 days straight. Why would you think that's more accurate than how the technicolor presentation actually appears? Makes no sense at all.

 I've done some thinking and I willing to pop on that cast iron non sequitur dispenser at $35.00 just so we can break the ice here. That's cash. It's not in great shape but I love the sun baked stuff and it has some really nice lines. I know you're at $50.00 but there's just no meat left on the bone for me at that price, that's full blown retail. Let me look around some more and maybe we can bundle it with some smalls. It  might take me a while, this honey hole has tonnage and I'm already pretty junk drunk.

That Star Wars in concert pic is not valid comparison. During that show they use brightly colored lights, lasers, and other lighting effects that hugely effect how it appears on screen. It's less about a faithful presentation of the movie and more of a light and orchestra show.

That's not the case with the Technicolor screening, it was purely about faithful presentation. The flesh tones in those pics are completely natural, it's not as if faces appeared intensely red and orange on the screen and the camera magically made the fleshtones appear natural. That's how the film was intended to look, color timing wise.

I'm also junk drunk.
