I am really blow away by all this hard work you are doing.  Here is something really picky.

There is a couple of frames where one of the Tie fighters  is missing. Do you plan to leave it in or take it out?

Yeah, I'm gonna leave the SE there, it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Unless there's enough people who'd like to see that mistake recreated?

I would. closer to the original.

If its easy, sure. Its only a frame. If it takes more than 5 minutes, forget it.

Well, if you look at the GOUT in the corner, the slowed down one fits the GOUT better and I'm quite sure that's how it originally was as they scanned that whole scene from an original 77 print, so the slowed down one should be more theatrically accurate. But I'll still go with the delayed one because slowing a footage down after the fact like this leaves a stammering effect behind and although it's minimal in this case, it's definitely there.

Love the new red sky.

I don't know why I do these things to myself, cuz it took way more than just five minutes (although it was actually pretty easy) but here it is :-)

I also tried to revert the wire model of the trench back to blue during the briefing but I did it straight in PD, so I'll have to wait until the next workprint is encoded to see how well it worked.

I did a few more cosmetic changes, like fiddling with the levels to get rid of some garbage mattes and I think I'm nearing completion.

I'll wait a few more days for any other suggestions you guys may present, then I'll render a final workprint, watch it, fix the last few things and I'll be good to encode. So if everything goes well, this should be finished within a fortnight :-)

holy shit that shot does have a red sky...i never noticed that.  odd considering the sky is purple/blue in the same exact sequence.

that fix for the disappearing ship was quick.  you can fix it faster than we can request them.

also if you are still taking suggestions on the colors.  i noticed that lukes saber after alderan blows looks a little too blue.  in the gout it looks like it's more whitish blue.  it also looks very blue during the fight with obi wan and vader.

the color when obiwan first shows luke anakins lightsaber in his hut is perfect though

Yeah, again, I used Ady's AVCHD for those Falcon shots and he did make it bluer than in GOUT but I think I'm just gonna leave it that way, because it looks good and it definitely beats the 04 green sabre.

Yeah, I think I agree with joshdv in preferring your original lightsaber correction. However, it's your project and whatever you say goes as far as I'm concerned. Given that I was near-100% satisfied with your workprint (aside from issues mentioned on the previous page by me,) I am stunned at your skill and would be happy with whatever you are.

Well, I was thinking about using that shot (I actually composited in the 97SE lightsabre there) but I wanted to keep it consistent throughout the whole scene, so I don't know.

I'm working on fixing the pink-purple flashes now and it's a bitch, there's so many of them...
