Padawan LearnerBeen a loooong time since I posted, but I've been following v2 with intense interst and't can't wait for release! One question - I've been grabbing the pieces of WP1 and have 4, however when I try to unrar it says there should be a 5. Doesn't seem to be a part 5 on ulozto though. Anyone able to point me to the file?

I don't like sand, it's so....sandy.hehe Finally managed to print out the covers for my copies (Damn flash):

Since the printer at our course is high quality and can print double sided, I put the original artwork for the inside:

I don't like sand, it's so....sandy.Thanks. I could send links for the insides if anyone wanted it, but they're just images off Google with little reframing:

These would make ideal menu backgrounds as well for a Blu-ray version, considering they're also formatted at 1920x1080

Jedi of the Mosaic FaithThanks a lot for those! do you think you can link to the original pics that you modified so I can mess with them?

I am ready for the OOT!Harmy,
I finished watching the latest workprint. All of the despecializations look excellent (well, except for the censored laser you snuck in :D ). It's gotten to the point where, even if I pause and look for traces of the changes, they're usually impossible to spot. I was really impressed with how you've been able to restore the shots of the falcon sitting in the DS hangar.
Just a few things to note:
53:25 and 53:44 - There seems to be some blue tint to space along the bottom of the window. Looks like possibly a rectangular junk matte around the planet. I don't know if it's supposed to be like this or if this is a result of brightening. I think bspaunhorst pointed this out on the last page, but I can't see his screenshot right now.
1:10:28 - The orange light reflecting off Luke's armor seems a bit too artificial and oversaturated.
Also (sorry, I didn't note the timecode), but when the Falcon is sitting in the DS hangar and vader is walking up to it, the stars outside the window seemed pretty unstable. Were those restored from the GOUT?
Thanks for all the hard work!

@DragoonClawNZ: That's some awesome looking covers! Looks great with the inside art.
@Harmy: Watched some more of the workprint and sorry if I bring more of the color-frustration, but here's what I noticed:
Vader's button and lights are still blue there.
On the other hand I wanted to say that I love how the matte shots of the Falcon in the hangar looks now, and the moving grain inside the matte itself makes it look even better!

Bounty HunterAbout the color in my last post, I didn't try to frustrate you Harmy... just tryed to help.. Maybe I chose poorly my words " Just noticed that the color needs some heavy rework..." Im sorry about that partner... ;-)
I meant the clip looks in general wonderful, and all the GOUT inserts are perfectly done in it... but sometimes... only sometimes the skin tones are not as accurate as the SW V1 version... It's my opinion, but also my opinion is that you're doing a great job... and eveybody here (beginning with me) will be thankful for it forever. ;-)
Here are 3 examples of what I'm talking about comparing your 2 versions:

I don't know the 2.0 pics look pretty good to me. Without having Tech photos here to compare them to, saying one is more "accurate" than the other is pretty subjective.

You know guys, if you saw Mike Verta's shots from a 70's bulb projection of an original print, you know SW was in fact more "yellow" in the theatres in 1977. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's something Harmy is aiming to recreate as well.

But seriously, I can kind of see what you're saying Hostmaster. The skintones in V.2 do seem to lean more toward yellow, however in V.1 I think they lean too much toward red. I think vbangle is right, it's ultimately going to be a matter of personal preference, and Harmy will never be able to achieve a palette that pleases everybody. Personally, if Harmy says he's referencing other, reliable sources for grading this film, then I'm satisfied with his decisions regarding colour.

Twisted & EvilI'm not sure which pic is from which version, but I prefer the look of the second pic all three times. I won't claim to know exactly how it looked in '77, but the second pics look more like what I remember seeing when I was a little one... they just look more 'Star Wars' to me.

Agreed.
With the new Verta shots to use as a reference, I trust Harmy to do an excellent job in achieving the "look" of the theatrical version. Anyway, he already said the colors on the latest WP weren't final anyway and to be looking at the other aspects of the footage.
I just fear that the next mention of color or "skin tones" may send Harmy over the edge. :)

Has a smile 12 parsecs wideYeah, I thought there was something peculiar about Vader's buttons, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

Now that I know they should be green, you can't miss them.
P.S. You_Too, how do you make those nice little thumbnail links anyway?

That's why I said it, because I understood it's still "a work in progress" project and Harmy said the colors were not finished yet.
Just tried to help, not to harm ;-)
I admit that I watched houndreds of times the '95 VHS tapes of GOUT, so maybe for my subconscious the right skin tones are more "pink"...
Probably the theatrical colors are more yellow, I don't know, Im not an expert.... So whatever will be the final result, I'll be 100% pleased with it :-)
