I have no idea how that's actually done but I'd have thought that it was a step by step manually adjusted transition and I'm not quite sure it would be possible with a film (as opposed to two still images).

I think it looks fine harmy.  You're not going to be able to please everyone.  and the cold hard fact is the footage just doesn't exist in decent quality similar to the sy snootles segment.

I mean what are we expecting here?  Harmy to recreate jabba the puppet and film the scene again? ;-)

Fucking hot weather!!! My computer overheated and switched off halfway through the encoding, so I'm starting over!!!

Lord Vader: The Emperor will be displeased with your apparent lack of progress.

Me: He asks the impossible, I need a better computer and air conditioning...

Yeah, it was nearly 100 degrees here a couple of days ago. Computer was fine, but I didn't know the fridge door was open a crack...overnight. Not good.

Yeah, that couldn't have been good at all.

My computer doesn't normally overheat enough to switch off but I guess having the CPU running at 100% for twelve hours didn't help...

I have a huge fan pointed at it now and it's still pretty f*cking hot anyway...

100% for 12 hours? Wow, any melted parts? :p

And the encoding was only about halfway through...

The workprint is finally up!!! So who will be my testers? ;-)

Um, well, I wouldn't recommend that. It is a workprint and it's not aimed for casual viewing. It's only 2GB, so it's quite heavily compressed and is not representative of the final quality.

What I need from my WP reviewers is to look for:

1) Encoding glitches (I already found one, so there may be more)

2) Forgotten SE changes

3) Colour inconsistencies 

4) Other mistakes such as missing frames etc.

@jerlgrain: If you want to check it out anyway, I'd be more than happy to send you the link, I just wouldn't recommend using it for casual viewing, as it is not a finished product, there are a few mistakes, it's quite compressed, there's a picture in picture GOUT footage in the corner and a watermark.

I've noticed that GOUT p.i.p. in the YouTube videos. Even with such a small little box (especially if the video isn't expanded), you can still see the difference in color vibrancy and crispness.
