Well the 2.0 versions of ESB and ROTJ are still a way's off. I'll update the description to make that clearer. But 1.0 of Star Wars is clearly deprecated; the 2.0 is nearly done and blows it out of the water.

CatBus means - next in line to start. The project itself should still take a while, people, though maybe not as long as SW2.0 did.

I just watched the AVCHD of ROTJ & was wondering something.  Have Shaw's eyebrows been redone?  Because they look perfect to me!  I was wondering, cause I seem to remember them looking more like animation when I first saw Harmy's Depecialized ROTJ & now they look great.  Personally I'm having a hard time imagining a 2.0 of this & Empire!  They seem perfect to me as they are!  Just curious about Shaw's eyebrows though.

There was never any other version of this, so this is the version you must have seen before. The eyebrows are a little wonky and will be addressed in v2.0.

And ESB and ROTJ can definitely use a v2.0 improvement of A) picture quality (same kind of improvement v2.0 of Star Wars got) and B) Theatrical accuracy. Because this time around I will not stop until some of the shots I was unable to despecialize in v1.0 are despecialized. Like the Rancor compositing in ROTJ or the snow battle compositing in ESB.

This will be a day long remembered.

The fact that those shots have these colors in the GOUT doesn't mean that they're correct or they look like in the original and since I had no other reference, I was usually aiming for consistency.

Pointing out things one "can't stand" doesn't really seem like constructive critisism to me..

And what can be refered to as original? Vhs? Gout? LD? Can theses sources really be trusted as 100% representative of the original theatrical version which these releases aim to replicate?

He might not be a native speaker of English. I've noticed some (I repeat, not all) non-native speakers (unintentionally, in many cases) come off as brusque and demanding.

Yeah, let's hope it's all just a misunderstanding.

Maybe, but it seems like the fundamental disconnect is that he didn't grow up with Star Wars.

When I was a child, Star Wars was as much a part of my upbringing as any of the more traditional fairy tales.
