Han D. SoloNo, it's an encoding glitch in that specific file.

This is probably me being very dense, but have downloaded ROTJ. I noticed that this one has just a BDMV folder, and not a Certificate folder also.
Using IMG Burn in the past I'm sure it used to create a Certificate folder automagically... Not this time.
Do I need to create a Certificate folder first to burn Jedi properly?
Mucho thanks!

This was downloaded from a.b.starwars (posted by Hey! It's Me! whoever that is). Looks like it might not be the whole file structure then? At least the stream file is complete and watchable using VLC.
I guess I need to create a Certficate folder then. I think TS Muxer will do the trick.

Strict AVCHD standard does not require a certificate folder, but I believe that Harmy authored the disc using the looser standard, in which case it should indeed have one. As the disc is movie-only, it might well play anyway, but personally I would add a certificate folder before burning.

How exactly do you "add" a certificate folder when using ImgBurn? I got my copies from myspleen and they don't have a certificate folder. There is a clip info folder...is this the same thing as a certificate folder? All help is very much appreciated. Thanks,

Keeper of the Taco SandwichHey, I can't post a screenshot right now, but there's a slight glitch in the beginning of the movie.
In the opening shot as Vader's shuttle comes out of the Star Destroyer, it's on the planet surface on the far left of the screen.
It's so far left, in fact, I don't even see it on my TV; I noticed in on my PC while piddling around. And it's only 1 frame so it's not really distracting or anything. Just thought I'd mention it in case it may helpful to know about.

You can simply create a folder next to the BDMV folder and call it CERTIFICATE.
Actually, now that I think about, Harmy's workflow when last I heard was to encode the AVCHD with Ripbot and remux it with the additional audio tracks using tsmuxer. Now, Ripbot seems to use the strict standard for AVCHDs (no certifcate folder) whereas tsmuxer does produce a certificate folder when you remux, so I would guess that it makes no difference either way. (If you want what Harmy produced, add a certificate folder.)

Remuxed it with TSmuxer and it worked fine :)
Looking forward to firing up my projector and watching this over the weekend!

I am ready for the trials!I've just noticed: The German audio track has the wrong pitch. It looks like it has been slowed down from 25 fps to 23.976 fps while KEEPING the pitch, and that's not correct.
The German audio tracks were created at 24 fps (for the theatrical versions), and simply sped up to 25 fps for all home video releases (which gave it a higher pitch). That's why simply slowing it back down to 23.976 fps would result in the correct pitch.
The Blu-ray release is - to my knowledge - the first German home video release to have the correct pitch.

Jedi of the Mosaic Faithmmm yeah, I noticed that the certificates folder wasn't included in the torrent, guess because empty folders don't rate. it's trivial to make one and add it to your burn, however.

First, thanks a million for these!
I just wanted to pipe in and say I burned the BDMV folder only to a DVD+R DL using a burn to disc option on my iMac and it plays in my Sony Bluray player. It sees it as a data disc, I scroll down to the the streaming folder and then play the .mts file.
So that's good but my question is, did I do it right? Is there a better way where it would either just start playing or is there a menu or? Can I use the iso as a disc image ONLY if I am burning it to an actual bluray or?
Anyway, I'm able to watch it but didn't know if I just got lucky somehow.

Both the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders are in the megaupload links I downloaded. If you only burn the BDMV folder, it will show as a Data Disc in a Sony Blu Ray Player or PS3. If you burn both folders with Imgburn, the movie will automatically play as soon as you put it in. I don't know why this is but I tried making my own CERTIFICATE folder and it still showed as a data disc. (I had accidentally deleted the original CERTIFICATE folder the first time). I re downloaded the entire file and now I have both folders.

Ok, I'll give that a try except I don't believe Imgburn exists for Mac but perhaps just burning both to a disc will do the trick? Anyone with a Mac tried this straight burn method burning both the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders straight to a dual layer disc?
edit: Ok, so for the mac users that perhaps like me are new to mac and/or slow I simply used the disk utility. I hit the burn icon, located the iso, and burned that straight to disc, a dual layer disc. It plays perfectly in my song bluray player. Starts up automatically etc. No Toast needed even!

Hi Harmy,
Since you are re-working ANH, is there any chance of you making any adjustments to ROTJ?
I'm not one to gripe and nitpick, as i'm just super grateful to have these preservations at all. The only thing in the entire despecialized trilogy that threw me a bit off was the color timing of ROTJ, specifically when they're inside the Death Star assaulting the reactor. On the way to the reactor, the Death Star's grey insides look very green, and when in the reactor chamber, it takes on a slightly cool blue look. Was this intentional, or just a result of changing the color timing of the movie overall?
Again, I can't thank you enough for what you do. I'm still watching these on a weekly basis since burning them. I've been sharing them with friends and they all are blown away by these preservations.

Great job, Harmy.
I have an issue with the wobbliness and blurriness of the Sarlacc pit after Jabba says "move him into position." I do hope you fix this at some point, as if you did I would consider this to be near perfect.
As it stands, this is my version of choice when watching JEDI. I'm, impressed. Very, very well done.

I noticed that too. Shaw's eyebrows after Vader's unmasking suffer from the same problem (they seem to float in the frame). I thought about mentioning it, but I figured it was the best Harmy could do.

are the download links still working for people?
i'm really excited to watch this (as well as the other 2, but especially ROTJ)
but i keep getting the "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." message from megaupload every time i try.
has anyone uploaded the actual movies to a filesharing site a la megaupload or rapidshare?
what's my best shot at seeing these?
