Han D. SoloHi guys, I'm still enjoying my holiday, so I was out of it for a bit. I was really happy to see all the feedback. Just to address a few issues:
re Anakin's eyebrows: It was a tough one and I know it's not perfect but it's the best I could do and I think it certainly beats the hell out of using pure GOUT or G'Kar footage for those shots.
re wipe "frame-rate" problem: Both the shot's were shortened in the SE, so I had to slow them down to keep it in sync with the sound. I know it's not great but it was the best I could do really.
re Puggo: I honestly have no idea. I know that AVCHD is not 100% compatible with all BD players, so it's unfortunately possible.
Make sure you did everything like it says in this tutorial:
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_avchd_with_imgburn.cfm
Alternatively, you could try re-muxing it as Blu-Ray disc rather than AVCHD in TS muxer.
Thanks to bilditup for the spleen upload and to AF for the re-upload of the covers.
Also thanks for the upload of the photos of the finished covers, I'm really happy to see them that way. I'm quite proud of them, you see ;-)

A great job on all you hae done with the films and the covers. You really knocked it out of the park. I also had a great time reviewing the ROTJ work print.
Here is the finished product sitting on a shelf next to DJ's wonder work.

Keeper of the Taco SandwichI watched the whole thing the other day with my 4 year old (who is always asking to watch "Star Wars the Revisit" - mwahaha!)
And this time the eyebrows didn't bother me at all, probably because I wasn't specifically staring at them under a magnifying glass.
There were a couple of choppy spots, one I think in Jabba's Palace (I forget where exactly... maybe when they're shuffling out for the execution...) and the other was during Han and Luke's bro hug at the end. Anyone else see this? It may have just been my player, I'm not sure. Either way it was very short and not very noticeable.
Altogether it was amazing and brought Jedi back to the glory it held in my childhood.

Hehe, well, yeah but there's at least 50 more shots that Lucasfilm unfortunately felt the need to mess up but I didn't have to slow those down in order to fix them ;-) BTW. Picture comparison is in the works :-)

Now that someone pointed it out, I can see the slight digital movement added to Luke's skiff while they are waiting for the sentencing. No big deal, just something we missed.

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

I'll speak to Harmy. I don't know if he's fully finished with this or if he plans to re-do it.

Han D. SoloNo, this is final (at least for now, we'll see about the Blu-Ray based version in a few months), so you can go ahead with the conversion if you want. And thanks for doing it, I appreciate it :-)

I am ready for the OOT!Harmy,
I haven't had a chance to watch this in detail, but I gave it a casual viewing while doing some other things at the same time, only focusing on the changes. I must say, the added smoke to hide the GOUT Jabba looks even better than in the workprint.
One small thing I did notice:
Erikstormtrooper said:
1:29:37, 1:29:40 - moving garbage matte around Death Star
I noticed this in the workprint, and it is still in the final (the time will be different due to the PAL to NTSC difference). Not sure if this is something that can be fixed.
The old rating card added at the end of the credits seemed new. Was that in any of the other Despecialized Editions?
I see I made the special credits again. Yay! And thank you!
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Han D. SoloYeah, some of the Garbage mattes weren't possible to remove without crushing the blacks to unwatchable levels.

Keeper of the Taco SandwichYeah, between the ridiculous low quality of the GOUT and the senseless revisionism of the SE, there's no reason to watch any other version.

Padawan LearnerCurious question; what are the proper dimensions to print out the BD covers? When I load them to photoshop they come out gigantic. I tried taking them to Kinko's and Officemax and the same thing. They told me I had to pay an extra $7 to cover poster printing! LOL! Would really appreciate the help.
Harmy, I do have to thank you for putting all the time and effort on these releases! I've been getting a kick out of watching the OT in HD!

10.65 Width
5.867 Height
that will ensure it is side to side with no gap.

There's a great prog that was recommended to me called "undercoverxp". I was having trouble too making covers then I used this and selected bluray and they came out perfectly. Here's the link: http://undercoverxp.tk/
Oh, by the way, despite the name it works in Windows 7 too.
The changes that George Lucas has made over the years to Star Wars is the equivalent of someone keying your car. On an intellectual level, you know that the car still works, and its only marred a fraction of a percent of the paintjob. On an emotional level, every time you see it, it's all you can focus on, and it makes you want to rip someone's face off.

I'll give this a try if I can't get it right with Photoshop. Would I have to use Legal paper or would regular size do with UndercoverXP?
