Commentary track on laserdisc is different from the one found on BD - don't know about other DVDs, but on the 1999 THX there is no commentary.

Critrion CAV Laserdisc digital soundtrack: I just finished to sync it to the 35th anniversary BD, and I discovered why the LD track floating around in this thread could be not in sync; the dialogs and the score have different sync for each version... I mean, if the BD music is in sync with the LD music, the dialogs are out of sync, and vice versa...

I managed to put in sync the dialogs only, because a lip sync problem is most noticeable than music cues put a bit out of sync; the finished track discrepancies should be around +/- 8.5ms, often even less - really below than the 22ms reccomendation for film lip sync.

Sync made in avisynth, only adding or cutting the equivalent of a ntsc field(s) (16.734ms); the final file is .flac 44khz 16bit to have a smaller file - obviously it's possible to reconvert it to .wav file without losing any bit!

I tested myself and it seems perfectly in sync, but I didn't watch the whole movie, so further testing is needed. If someone is interested, here you are the link (200MB): http://www.sendspace.com/file/bkh315
