Hey I remember watching a movie that was about some kids that turned a tilt-a-whorl ride thing into a space ship, anyone know the name of it?

Also I really liked watch some cartoon about what I think is a super hero bear maybe with a jet pack, any ideas?

"Explorers"(a young Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix starred),i just got it on dvd,i remember watching this as a kid,just watched it a couple weeks back,still pretty good.

yes i am trying to find all movies i used to watch,either by myself or best friend or dad,i also just got "The Car"do you guys remember that one,starring James Brolin,it is very good quality and has both full and wide screen.
and got Hawk the slayer,i have been hunting.

that is one of my MAJOR downfalls,especially to my wife,i am a dvd junkie,i have well OVER 1000 dvd's,and that was the count about a year ago LOL

that is why my wife isnt to happy,they are ALL over the bedroom,i mean on ALL walls,and shelves and dressers and headboard etc,but i still have room for my books,and HUGE Arnold Schwarzenneger autographed poster from when i met him,and my Harley Davidson plaque i got from the dealership with my bike and name on it in gold.

EXPLORERS is a GREAT flick! (As is THE LAST STARFIGHTER.) I was SO excited the day that EXPLORERS came out on DVD. And it was so cheap! Think I might pop that in tonight.

Hearing THE CAR (good flick as well), it made me think of THE HAND. Anyone see that one? With Michael Caine? Directed by Oliver Stone. I remember when I was a kid and I was spending the night at my Grandparents' house and there was a THE HAND and MAGIC (Anthony Hopkins ventriloquist flick...creepy as hell) double feature on THE MOVIE CHANNEL. I think Joe Bob was hosting. It freaked the hell out of me. Couldn't sleep all night thinking that a hand was under my bed and a puppet was in my closet. LOL!

For a minority opinion, I actually liked the Flight of the Navigator much better than Explorers.

God, it's such a classic.

Explorers was great when I first watched it, when I was something like 7 or 8 years old... I watched it again about an year ago, and it was kinda crappy...

It falls down when they dock with the alien ship and the aliens are TV addicts. It was one of those films with a good build up to a lame 'where do we go now?' ending.

Nah, when that 12 year old kid came up with a freaking flying indestructive bubble with his early 80s PC, which aparently has the power to create perfect matter out of thin air, it fell apart.No suspension of disbelief can hold that one up.
