George Lucas' Favorite Word

Has anybody guessed what Lucas' favorite word is? It's "no". Lets take a look:

  • Episode I: Gui-Gon dies: Obi-Wan screams "Noooooo!"
  • Episode II: Anakin cries out "No!" as he has the nightmare about Shmi.
  • Episode III: Palpatine says "No. Noooo!" before shocking Mace Windu
  • Episode III: Vader learns that Padme is dead and screams "Noooooo!"
  • Episode IV: Obi-Wan dies and Lukes cries out "No!"
  • Episode V: Luke cries out "No. No. That's not true." and "Nooo! Noo! No!"
  • Episode VI: A Gunk Droid gets tortured and screams "No!"
  • Episode VI: Vader cries "No. Nooooo!" as Luke almost dies in the (butchered) Blu-ray version.

That was for the OT. For the PT it seems to have been:

"Slower... More half-assed."

Don't you mean "Molasses is winter" instead of "slower" and "less intense - let's bore the crown with some midi-chlorians crap"?

*shakes head* Where to begin.  Why do you use the name you do then mock people who do something which is quote unquote classic nerd behavior.  And please stay ignorant of the find/replace function of text applications.

I don't understand? Is it my "you have no life. LOL" statement? "You have no life" is suposse to be said in a friendly way. You know, when your friends joke around and they say  stuff like "you [laugh] have [laugh] no [laugh] life [laugh]."

Now when you say "why do you use the name you do then mock people who do something which is quote unquote classic nerd behavior." I assume that you mean my Forum name and the "you...life" statement. On this forum, I call myself "The Nerd" because that's what people in high school/college nicknamed me because I was at all 6 SW films on opening day, I was actually first in line for each.

What do you mean by "and please stay ignorant of the find/replace function of text applications"?

He means no one in their right mind would sit though six movies with a notepad writing down each time the word "the" is said. He obviously got the data by using a text editor's search function on transcripts of the films.

... And they had 'The Empire Strikes Back', the fifth of the four Star Wars films. He is fucking with us numerically, isn't he! "Children, count up to ten." "Four, five, six, one, two, three, ten". No, it goes, four, five, six, one, two, three… No, it goes: four, five, six. One... Two and three have not been made." "Two and three have not been made! What should they be?" "What should they be? We do not know. All we know is that there will be a big floppy character in it that goes, squawk squawk squawk... who needs a punch up the bracket!"

Here's the problem...your friends know you, so they know when you are joking around.  Not to mention the difficulty in using the internet to express jokes versus seriousness.

How were you at all six SW films on opening day by the time you were in high school?

My assumption here would be the 97 SE theatrical run, followed shortly thereafter by the prequels?

So he was in high school from 1997 until 2005? Yay eight year plan!

All I really want is each film as it was originally seen and heard in theaters; no fixes, corrections, "improvements" or modifications necessary.

You forgot the "/college" part.

Also he didn't claim he already was in high school when he went to see the films.

For Episode IV-VI I was in high school. I was in 9th grade when the first film was released. I was a Senior in 1980. So do the math there. I went to college for 4 years. During those four years, ROTJ was released and that was my 3rd year at college. Now the part where I said "I call myself 'The Nerd' because that's what people in high school/college nicknamed me because I was at all 6 SW films on opening day" I mean that the name "The Nerd" has stuck with me ever since high school and college. Whenever I chat with one of my old buddies, they always call me "The Nerd". Is anybody still confused?
