Son of the SunsStill, the topic about lack of women in SW isn't exactly a new one but the writer makes it look like he's the one who noticed it. At least that's the way it seemed to me, so that's why it appears a little weird.

Aurebesh's first appearance was ROTJ in 83, right? And even then, it's not really the same aurebesh as the more modern codification.
Anyway, keep in mind that the same film has English letters on screens, particularly the Tractor Beam controls.
This always bugged the hell out of me. Aurebesh I mean. If they can speak english then they can damn well write english.

I am ready for the trials!Wow! We never saw this angle in the movie.
I smiled when I saw this ship outside the bar in the old Sierra PC game Space Quest. (Or something that closely resembled it.)
I've long been curious about the 2001 pod like thing in the background.

Son of the SunsWhere do these photos originate? I don't think similar photos have ever surfaced. Are they from Kurtz or what? Cool stuff nonetheless.

"darth endeor was a meanyhead" - FatherSkywalker, et al--QFTIs that picture from ANH? Or is it a TPM Tatooine replication. They seemed to try to recreate a number of ideas from the OT, and the quality and color in the picture seems to match TPM to my untrained eyes.
The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit. Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.

"darth endeor was a meanyhead" - FatherSkywalker, et al--QFTI definitely recognize the white spherical pod thing, but I guess I never noticed the foreground person or ship. Thanks.

Yeah, that's a great photo.
Seen very quickly as the landspeeder enters Mos Eisley, and behind Luke as they stop at the cantina. The guy seems to be walking around the ship checking it over.

"darth endeor was a meanyhead" - FatherSkywalker, et al--QFTI see. Funny the details you never notice. So much invested in atmosphere that is never fully appreciated, yet without it, it feels so sterile and false. One of the things I've always loved best about the OOT is the real "lived in" feeling folks have talked about. It really added to the feeling of immersion into the films when I first fell in love with them.

So what is this supposed to be? It looks like there are eight legs on it, each too thin to support the massive feet. Unless of course those are just clamps to make sure someone doesn't walk off with it. Somebody should make an animation of this thing in motion. Whether walking or flying, it would probably look ridiculous.

I'm going with that. From now on, that's canon to me. I imagine in that new pic, he's yelling to the traffic cop "Wait! I still gots 2 minutes on the meter!"
But before, I've just figured it was something like what Silverwook pointed out.
