I dunno, the falcon always seems to be falling apart, held together with old parts. They might be using a souped up XP system.
I had a strange thought, one that may have been brought up before, I don't know, but here it is:
We know Lucas changed the Han shoots first scene in Star Wars, so why did he think it was ok for Han to shoot first when they see Vader in Cloud City? Vader does not do anything aggressive to them, Han instantly draws his pistol and shoots when the door opens. How is that morally different? Maybe I should shut up, it's not too late for Lucas to change Empire for the 3D release... :P

You're asking on the wrong forum. I'm sure if you asked the right person, you'd get a nicely warped-to-fit-their-reality answer. Such as: Vader is actually the aggressor in that scene because he's force-choking a part of Han's anatomy that you won't really be able to see clearly until the 3D re-release.

http://theforce.net/latestnews/story/Tartakovsky_Talks_About_The_State_Of_His_SW_Clone_Wars_MicroSeries_148068.asp In which TFN acknowledges George's ways and Tartokovsky is a little sad.

likes ice creamWow thanks for the link.
I've always wanted Tartokovsky to comment on the new clone wars series since its inception. Because it's clear they've aped his designs even though as he says, they're George's characters.
I'm not saying he's owed anything but it is sort of shameless what they've done.
I never even knew the new series (having never seen it) took the place of the old one. I always just assumed the 3D animated version was an expansion of the story of the 2D animated one.
Looks like Lucasfilm is rewriting history once again. Removing reference to them from their encyclopaedias is a bit of bullshit.
It seems more and more apparent Genndy didn't toe the company line there at Lucasfilm. And he made a pretty neat series, the best thing to happen to Star Wars since Lawrence Kasdan.

Han D. SoloWow, talk about revision of history. That's sickening. Now George has truly and fully become the studio head he used to hate so much. With the SEs, it was already borderline but those were still his movie in some sense. But now, he just took a piece of work done entirely by someone else and made it unavailable and is actively trying to erase it from history.

Wait for me. I shall be merciful and quick.Hmm, I dunno. This seems like something that needs to be verified. I mean it's a Huffington Post article, they're not exactly known for being Star Wars experts. =P While it's true that the Clone Wars micro-series is out of print, but so are the Droids and Ewok shows as well as the Ewok films. That doesn't necessarily mean they're being buried like the Holiday Special.
It'd take some digging in the latest Star Wars guides to be certain that they've been removed from C-canon.

It's cannon until the current Clone Wars cartoon amends the Attack of the Clones connection / end of the Clone Wars story. Well see if they go there when the show ends. The official site removed much more then just Tarakovsky's contribution to SW. He's being a little dramatic, you can't have all products getting face-time at the same time. But it is a semi-practical way to get people to remember it.
From the SW.com panel at C6, the official site is attempting to roll back into circulation many of the old SW video projects. The Ewoks and Droids were definitely mentioned as getting put online and the HS was nudge nudge wink winked. Now we wait to see if it actually happens.

Oooo, is there a breakdown of what was discussed? I've been meaning to find some good coverage of the various panels.

Haven't come across any. Was in line for the panel with a TF.n reporter who was going to write something up. The current redesign is about the implementation of video into the site and they said that would continue. The Ewok and Droids cartoons being an example to follow what they've done with the Clone Wars cartoon. They talked about the Ewok Village game: http://www.starwars.com/play/online-games/ewok-village/index.html
which is like a beefed up Lemmings with some more modern task management, like I guess WoW.
There was some talk of bringing the forums back. In what form or with the old content was not discussed.
They had some of the new blog people there. The blog's promotional / SW celeb oriented focus is a lot to wade through for something relevant to what we do round here.

Wait for me. I shall be merciful and quick.I found a great break down over at Tosche Station. It'd be great to see Droids and Ewoks in their original form in good quality. I also hope that one day they'll go about restoring all of the great articles and features they've lost through the various iterations of the site.
