You DuracellEnergizer are the type of fan I'm talking about. You don't like what Lucas has done to star wars that's fine. He has done things I don't think he should've done as well, but I don't cry about it. I still like the movies, flaws & all as I've said before. But its people like you that piss me off. Instead of just disagreeing with me you get hateful & nasty about it. From what I've heard & read around the net its your generation that cries about Lucas raping your memories. So since I'm not offended by the changes he's made to his movies or by the prequels I guess its you that is getting taken from behind. I would've liked discussing this rationally or even heatedly debated, but like all haters you had to get nasty.

DuracellEnergizer Its statements like this that were uncalled for. I admit when I'm wrong & I came here bitter & posted rudely & have apologized for it more than once. I like the OT better as well & the changes just don't bother me, eventhough some of them weren't for the best. And as I said on another thread unfortunately I was doing what I was bitching about - bitching about other fans. If it offended you that I accused you of not being a true fan & for being a hater then for that I apologize. You wont get this post sence you've put me on ignore so perhaps someone will let you know that I've admitted that I was wrong & have said sorry.

Don't be so proud of this technical terror you have constructed - the ability to put someone on "ignore" is insignificant next to the power of kenkraly.

Why does everyone dislike Vader yelling no at the end of revenge so much? Yes its over the top & a little cheesy, but I viewed it as the last little bit of Anakin being extinguished. Until Luke came along of course & proved that his father wasn't truly gone, only buried deep within the dark side.

Well, it's just too cheesy for me. It's pretty much the oldest cliché in the book. Had the film been made in the 50's, it probably wouldn't have been as bad.
Also, it's a dull "no." It doesn't sound like there's any anger or pain in it; it just sounds like Darth Vader has lost one of his contact lenses or something.

Magister Pontifex MaximusIf there is a place for a "Nooooo" surely it would be when he is sealed in his suit/cage.
If he cried out but the sound was silenced by the mask and then rendered in his new voice it could have been a powerful moment.
As for Padme (who shouldn't be dead yet anyway going by the continuity of ROTJ) would Vader show any outward signs of caring?
Being a Sith now he would probably try and impress the boss by not giving a monkeys (while inwardly feeling self hatred and rage against his master).

Agent 551 of the Temporal Security AgencyOops, I completely misread the question here, my apologies.
The NO is poorly executed and very difficult to take seriously, and because of this its nearly universally reviled. It seems petty to include it, because Lucas surely must know the degree to which it was disliked in ROTS. It's as if he was forcing it on fans simply because they had rejected it.
But much more importantly, it destroys the drama of a very powerful and important moment. In the wordless version, it seems so much more raw and emotional, he simply lets his choice speak for him. Adding the scream was just like replacing the venomous "Bring my shuttle" line with the lifeless "Alert the star destroyer to prepare for my arrival." line, in that it was destroying the subtly of the scene to needlessly spell out something mundane everyone already knew.

I am ready for the trials! There should be a "Nooooo" when JarJar enters the scene!
Second thought...
Maybe there should be an edit where instead of taking out stupid crap, just add the "Noooo" in for effect. It may get a little old 10 minutes into TPM.

I agree that it shouldn't have been added to Jedi. One of the few changes I think wasn't for the best.

What was so wrong with TPM? Yes Jar Jar was a stupid cartoon that Star Wars could've done with out, Anakin was way to make your teeth hurt sweet - he should've been feral like the kid in THE ROAD WARRIOR, and the acting wasn't great. Well, I don't think the acting was great in any of the six films except for a handful of the actors. I love Star Wars for the story not the acting anyway. Oh, and there was the crappy Yoda puppet. None of that was enough to ruine the movie I thought. It just caused TPM to be the weakest of the films. So, without unecessary bashing please, what other TPM critiques do you guys have?
