Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityI got a takedown notice from YouTube on one of my videos this morning. Not my four minute cut of Lando's Sacrifice, but the 54 second full-screen "ReVHSed" version I did of the Greedo scene from Revisited that had no audio.
At least two copies of the entirety of Revisited are still on YouTube.

The takedown process is partially mechanical but as the years go by, there are purges which are probably done by interns who just blanket out huge swatches. You can counter the takedown. This is important especially if the video have a variety of comments which demonstrate public reaction and thus could be historically significant, even if it's a minor thing.
There's a thread for posting about full versions of the SW movies found on video hosting sites, and a few fan edits are in that list. Please add the Revisited ones if you can.

Chief Architect of Cynical MoralityI just thought it was odd they found a modified version of a modified version with no audio. Whatever, I deleted it, didn't need the reminder of failed project. ;-)

^ They have visual identification systems, which periodically get new material to ban out, so unless we know of other recently pulled clips, hard to determine what the actual problem way. Any other Ady clips get pulled?
http://youtomb.mit.edu/ is great for connecting some of the dots, but they can only process so many things, can't stay 100% on top of the issue. Too many videos, too many take downs. But every so often a trend emerges.

The ROTJ collaborative thread is a wealth of ideas, both on how to edit Return of the Jedi, as well as how to collaborate in an edit. Emanswfan has taken leadership of the project.

Han D. SoloI wonder where the images in this article come from? Their resolution seems to range from 4-8K.

looks like they are a little less than 3k? First shot i grabbed was approx. 2958 x 1460.
But I still don't know why they would be that big.
