Lando wears clothes "closer to the style favored by Han"

That's the way I always saw it. I never ever thought that Lando was wearing Han's clothes.

I wonder what the actual reasoning behind it is, not the made-up EU explanation.

I'd say the "EU explanation" is probably the real explanation as well. I've met other people who think it's really weird that he's wearing Hans clothes, but it really does make sense. Lando would have no other clothes than what he fled Cloud City in, and those were probably soiled during his escape and the following chase.

So do you think Lando actually soiled himself during his escape....I'll have to watch it again

J

I didn't say he shit his pants! I said his clothes were soiled- as in sweaty, dirty, smelly and in need of a wash.

It has already been established that washing machines have existed in the Star Wars universe from practically the beginning.

Why couldn't he just give them a good wash while he had a kip?

Hilarious! For anyone else who hasn't seen it yet. Must be part of any ridiculous type edit in the future.

This is not a lightsaber. Nor a euphemism.

I was talking with a bud about all the dumb things the Special Editions did or didn't do.  He mentioned that George should have fixed the shot of the Tusken Raider that was created by looping the footage back and forth as it was attacking Luke.

How hard would have been to go shoot footage of a guy in a suit in the backlot?

Hard enough that they did the same thing to Dud Bolt, the podracer guy, in Eps I

I say never release the originals. Keep the fans talking about something.

It's a real possibility. Even more reason to don Hans drag.

With all the fuss over Lando's new threads, nobody ever stops to consider Leia's disguise in ROTJ.

There's a dead, naked bounty hunter lying around somewhere...

Not necessarily. She could've got it from the Space-Fancy Dress shop.

Did anyone ever notice how much Leia's boushh costume's helmet looks like some character's from the end of DS9? They were called the breen, which in turn looked like K9 from Doctor Who.

Not necessarily a random thought, but wasn't sure where else to put this. Someone on reddit made a nice little find.

Lucas must have been a fan of "Jingle All The Way".

of all the annoying things lucas says, one of the most irritating is when he says he made anakin 9 years old because a 9 year old would be more traumatized by losing a mom than a 12 year old.  yeah...and a 14 year old girl would develop a crush on a 9 year old for the next ten years [rolleyes]

just say - i wanted jake lloyd, and leave it at that.

I've said before, I dont think lloyd was the problem.  he was ok in the dinner scene (better than august and portman).  and he seemed pretting convicing as a kid that was handy and good with mechanics - maybe lucas saw that.  but i never saw greatness or strength in the force other than being told by qui-gon.  and lucas' idea of going all the way back to when he was a kid to show he was once good falls flat because - well, he's a kid!  if thats all lucas was capable of to show how someone is good, than he truly is a horrendous storyteller.  and he is ok with putting a child actor in a position to fail.

its sad to see the documentary of him signing that contract and everyone so excited.  this is a film so many people wanted to see and/or be a part of.  the way lucas conned, tricked and misled everyone (not just fans but also cast/crew) with his "story and characters", "i had this story since 1977" garbage, makes him beneath contempt.

I was watching Returning to Jedi today and noticed that Wedge has to close his S-foils to get through the gap the Falcon loses its dish in. Another little detail I'd never noticed. So cool.
